Dashcam (I) (2021)
1/10
Boring and once you've seen the first 20 min, you've seen the whole movie
28 October 2022
This movie is nothing but repetitive, I'm trying to think of a way to convey just how bad the acting was. I saw many talk about Annie, however there wasn't a worth while actor in the entire movie. Not that I saw anyway. The main actor apparently cannot have a thought for anything other than her really horrendously bad rapping. Which hurt the movie even more.

I tend to love bad B movies, however, this isn't one of those types. There's bad B movies and then there's low budget, bad acting, zero plotline, zero camera work.

If the premise is that it is a low quality phone recording the entire movie, then they hit it on the head. However, most dash cameras and most cell phones have far higher resolutions than this movie seemed to be shot in.

And the 'scary' parts are just a lot of blur, dark, or both.

Not gonna lie. I jump easily with most movies, never once with this garbage. I did, however, yawn an awful lot. I wasn't anywhere near tired when I started and grew so bored that I just wanted to close my eyes and drift off to a dream that would have to be better than watching Dashcam.

I also get she's supposed to be so obnoxious but even the biggest moron on the planet is going to have self preservation. That is a built in trait in all human beings.

It's okay, if you have young kids you might has well watch
16 October 2022
Honestly, I think this would have been a much better movie without Marlon in it, he's just too big of an over actor. Sitting here, I am realizing I like most of the other characters, except Ron Riggle and John Michael Higgins were over board to offset the extremely overboard actor Wayons.

I thought Priah Ferguson and Kelly Rowland played their parts perfectly. The story was told smoothly, though lya bit slowly to give time to Wayons to do this Wayons thing. That kind of comedy really ran its course though the 90's till around 2008 when it started to die out. But a few actors can't seem to get the message.

I think with a different actor in the lead male, this could have been a fantastic movie for the whole family.

Strong female leads with a female young person who can problem solve and kick behind, we need more movies like that.

Netflix choose your comedy actors more wisely. There were many too choose from, a Wayons is not one of them. Do better Netflix, but continue on with the good stories.

Another show where one tells another how to act and what to do
24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler. Alert...

Episode 4 is where once again, tv tells others know you best and know what is best for you. So ignore someone's boundaries and steam roll them and ignore how the other one feels.

All while claiming she's an advocate of people doing what they want.

Started in episode 2 with her daughter and her son in laws relationship, continued into episode 3 of when and what age a person should have a child.

Then really went all out in episode 4 in telling Robert that his boundary of not wanting to be dating is about something else. That another should choose instead and label how Robert feels. After ignoring all his boundaries and pushing him to do what she wants only in the most insane ways, steamrolling him to the point where he leaves, she then hurls that he is a drama queen.

I guess she didn't get away from her past after all in any mental way and is stuck with the idea that the elders get to tell others what they can and can't want. What they can and can't do. And to condemn when someone pushes back.

And we wonder why there are boundary issues in the world? Would be nice to see someone being respectful of anothers boundaries!

The first 3 seasons are worthy of a 10 rating
29 May 2021
But the 4th season is worthy of a 2 and I am in the middle of the 5th and am Forcing myself to watch and it is worthy of a -2 rating. So... I gave it a 5, which I think is fair.

I keep wondering if they changed writers? The first three are serious about zombies and keeping things moving along. I get that a conclusion kind of happened at the end of 3 and maybe they were just too lost to know what to do about it from there? They should have given it up instead of creating the travesty that is 4 and 5.

4th season is boring, the story drags and drags and contributes so little and what is contributed has no real value.

Season 5 is now about cheap animated laughs, that no one laughs at. They are about bringing in snippets of other types of shows that have nothing to do with zombies, like drunk history show turns into the dumb pot history episode, etc.

I'm waiting for them to run through a side of a building and leave the person shaped hole next, or maybe they'll run in a picture and the zombie will hit the picture and stop? I hope I did not spoil something there as I didn't finish the 5th season yet and it could easily happen with the way the show was written.

To me it felt like they had awesome zombie fan writers during seasons 1-3. Yes, there were comedy involved but it was on par with what was happening. I was Glued and I loved it for what it was. I don't judge shows. I love or dislike shows on their own merit.

The 4th and 5th season doesn't even feel like a zombie show anymore. Doesn't feel like the same writers. Doesn't feel like the same producer. Nothing seems the same. And the way everyone is smiling like they are having the BEST DAY EVER at each other is just so off putting.

Oh, and the only spoiler is that they have all this information from seasons 1 through 4 but can't figure out a thing, even when someone gives them the answers, they parrot back the information but then seem to forget they heard it and still continue to wonder what is going on?

Lt. Warren in season 4 is dressed like she's more ready to go to a fancy hollywood club instead of a zombie apocalypse (not a spoiler as it is on All the previews and pictures). Season 5 she just becomes so sweet and nice and not the hard ass zombie killer she was from the first three seasons.

Season 4 Addy addresses clothing about how it's stupid to wear super sexy clothing while wearing a corset, something that looks like it came from a video game to make a woman look sexy instead of a fighter. And her form fitting everything else.

It's like some pervy idiot male took over production and said... these women need their chests out more, need their waists cinched more, and need to have perfect make up on while out killing zombies. Because nothing says apocalypse like Big fake eyelashes, Perfect lipstick and perfect cat eyes, perfectly done hair, and a boostiers and outer corset. I know while I am working hard in an apocalypse I am searching makeup and eyelashes for sure! Seaons 1-3 They were rag tag, dirty, dirty fingernails (which was kinda gross to look at but totally made sense). Season 4 and 5, manicured nails. Yup...

If they make a seasons 6 I am just going to be out!

One day I bet we'll hear how Syfy channel made them change things thinking it would boost ratings while it secretly killed the show. Happened to so many shows in the past but the big guys never seem to understand what made a show worth while wasn't big boobs and make up but the grit and realism in a show while even if it wasn't realistic per say.

Minions (2015)
4/10
An unfortunate sequel
13 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I always work to take every single movie on their own merit and not hold them up against the previous one. The beginning is really cute and the idea of the minions and how they began is a little interesting and a little cute.

The movie, however, on a whole doesn't work. The story seems put together quickly and it shows. If you can call it a storyline. I'm not so certain there is a true story line in this movie and that is the biggest issue.

I often find that part 3 of any movie title is going for quick cash and didn't take the time and effort that a normal animated movie goes through. But again, I work hard to only base each movie on it's own merit. Just a quick fact that a lot of the 3rds (like Madagascar 3; Toy Story 3, and others) are rarely put together well. Which saddens me as I look forward to each and every one with great anticipation.

I think this movie could have been cute had they worked harder on the story and taken a bit longer for release.

And I thought Sandra Bulluck wasn't a great choice as a voice in an animated flick. Her voice comes off a bit flat, it's her expressive face that makes her a good actress and with a voice over part in animation that doesn't work. At least not as a lead character, in my opinion.

I am a huge collector of animated flicks and I haven't bought this one yet. I borrowed a friends who wasn't happy with it. After seeing it I can't bring myself to be willing to spend the money to own it. Maybe if it ever ends up on Craigslist for 3 bucks I will.... maybe...

I enjoyed the movie
13 January 2016
I read many of the reviews, the negative ones just cause me to shake my head.

I don't think you should ever hold one movie up to the next. Take each movie as their own being. Once you do that, you see this movie as it really is.... wonderful.

To me, the second is as great as the first. I am so happy to have watched it and I will be purchasing it next to sit along side the first.

I found myself laughing at least 4 or 5 times. So much so my husband came in to see what I was watching. I smiled through other parts. And all this from someone who isn't an Adam Sandler fan, but he has found a nice groove in the vampire department.

Both my husband and I loved it and can't wait for a sequel
31 August 2015
This film was action packed. I had a hard time understanding other reviewers that said the kid wasn't in training when clearly time was changing drastically. One minute the dog is a tiny puppy the next it's full grown adult dog. Then they go to his mothers home and the infant is now a toddler... looks like 2 or 3 years has passed. They just didn't show you the training as you have to understand that's the boring part. The saving the world was the storyline and what was important.

People just need to pay more attention to understand that time passed. The tests they showed were to prove they were worth continuing on in their training.

Anyway, this film started strong and went through the entire show strong. The humor is subtle and again, you have to actually pay attention and it all makes sense. At the end my husband was like, I can't wait for a sequel! I had to agree.

I love the twists and turns and it kept us wondering what the evil guys game plan was. What did his invention do?

2 Broke Girls (2011–2017)

Not a good show on any level
4 July 2015
if you want a mindless sitcom about sex and boobs... this is the one. If you want any substance, any value and don't think a pair of breasts can carry an entire show... than this one is worth turning off.

And turning off is all I have been able to do. In no way does this show make sense. I cannot understand anyone enjoying it.

After a period of time you need something. Some story line. Not constant sarcasm that always has some sexual connotation that has nothing to do with anything. Oh ha ha... sex. And ha ha.. more sex. there ya have it. I should have called that a spoiler. To be a true spoiler I'd have to say. Ha ha, boobs. Ha ha sex. Ha ha, more sex. Ha ha dated bad men. There... I explained the entire show.

Cute show
4 July 2015
I thought this show was very cute. And I liked how the kids were dealing with older parents who decided to divorce and who hated each other for years. Thought it very relevant.

However, when they brought on Sean Hayes the show went downhill. He just doesn't fit inside the cast. This cast was about a family. Mom, dad, a son and a daughter. And Daughters small family. It worked so well. I have no idea where "Kip" is supposed to fit in. I called it an 8 out of 10 and that was without Sean. With Sean, a 6 out of 10. I think more just need to see it.

How can 2 broke girls with their senseless sarcasm and sexual constant quips be so big and this gem is on the sidelines?

Decent new series
12 May 2015
I've read so many of the other comments and the nasty ones truly astonish me. Did they expect multi-million dollar cgi contracts for each scene like a movie? This is a TV show, and Syfy at that. Most of their movies are very low budget so I was surprised to see how well they did on this show. It truly has been done well for a lower budgeted TV show.

The effects are on point. No, they aren't movie quality and if you expect that for television shows you might as well stop watching and only watch movies from here on out.

The storyline, so far (I am towards the end of the 4th episode) has kept me interested. The acting has been done well, by all the characters.

A nice light movie, good for a laugh
11 August 2006
It isn't a must watch movie of the year.. but if you've watched everything else.. it's a nice light comedy. Will crack you up here and there. Make your eyes roll several times.

It's too nice, too light and too frivolous to tell the truth. But if you can see it for free... i'd say go for it. I wouldn't, however, want to be one of those people who paid movie going prices for it.

I think it was one of those safe movies to make some money with. Something people wouldn't hate or love.. but some think cute enough.

I do suggest if you watch this movie you go to the more section on the disk and watch the two guys who talk about living at home, one is 32 and one 38, made me extremely happy my son moved out at age 20!

A light and funny movie.. with Jim Carrey only being annoying at times
11 August 2006
To say i am not a Carrey fan would be an understatement. My son enjoyed his movies, so i have been forced to watch a few, none were worth the time i lost.

But i do like Tea Leoni, so i thought i'd pick up this movie for her. Boy was i surprised. Of course there were times when Jim Carrey was being too much himself... if only they could tame him down for his movies, i believe he just might be able to act?? Anyway... this was a funny movie (with only a few annoying scenes from Jim). My husband cannot stand Jim Carrey even more than me, and we both laughed quite a bit through this movie and would sit through it twice.. if bored.. with no complaints. (not one for watching movies over and over again).

Anyway.. this is a good and somewhat clean movie for those who want something light and funny.
