Cheaper by the Dozen (2022)
better than i anticipated
The people giving this movie bad ratings are 1. Being too hard on it or 2. Racist af.
I wasn't sure what I'd be getting with this remake, as I tend to dislike a lot of remakes these days. But this movie did it well.
They included things teens are interested in, ie: influencer lifestyle- without it being too in your face. There were some nods to social media ect.
The social commentary on raising black kids was well done. And the dynamic between all of the adult cast was great.
The kids also had great chemistry, and I enjoyed such a diverse cast.
It's a fun remake, nothing spectacular, but it's enjoyable and something to watch with the kids, for sure!
S.W.A.T.: The Tiffany Experience (2018)
Don't Listen to these idiots! Great show.
I've noticed a trend with not only the reviews on SWAT but many other procedural dramas. The storylines about characters lives are all good and welcome until it's something people aren't used to seeing.
It's all fine to see Hondo and Jess see each other, with numerous episodes now on his new love interest, and just as many episodes focusing on Deacon and Annie, even a few with Tan & Street and their respective relatives woes, but now that it's a non conventional, non heterosexual relationship, people have a problem?
Get over yourselves. This doesn't ruin the series. You're just homophobic. There is no gay agenda, just representation! Very few shows tackle poly relationships and this is why. Seriously, it doesn't change the show. This is still SWAT.
Chris is still a SWAT cop. They still have cases & action. You sensitive people just can't handle seeing something besides a heterosexual, normalized relationship. That doesn't reflect the show. It reflects on you.
Episode gets a 7/10 because it's not nearly as interesting as the last two episodes, but still great and I don't see how Chris' relationship changes anything. Great acting, great stories!
He's All That (2021)
These reviews are dramatic
While this isn't the best movie on Netflix, these reviews look more like serious Addison Rae haters who you'd find in TikTok comments than reviewing a movie.
He's All That carries the same story as She's All That (1999) but modernized. The truth is, it didn't have great source material. The original was....not a good movie to begin with. It's a tired storyline which we've seen in different forms from Cinderella to DUFF, ect.
Sure, the product placements and celebrity camos are annoying, but that's not what makes this movie mediocre. Still, all these one star reviews are just a bunch of people who want to hate on a TikTok star.
Is Addison going to win an Oscar for this? No. Absolutely not. But this is a rom-com, a cheesy, over the top, rom-com.
It's a fun watch after a long day, nothing too serious, and has some light-hearted laughs. People are wayyy too hard on TikTokers than they need to be.
