Have Gun - Will Travel: The Kid (1961)
Paladin gets more than he bargained for
Paladin has a chance to tame Red Chief in this episode done more for comedy than drama (although it still features a Quiet Man style brawl through town). The calling card makes an extremely late appearance.
M*A*S*H: The Moose (1972)
Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose
I missed this episode the first time around -- I came in about 1974 or so. It would have been neat if they could have written Young Hi into some sort of recurring role (in fact, when I looked this up on IMDb I was thinking she might be the local that runs the officers' mess) -- but at least we did see the actress again in two other roles.
Very complex question, as Hitchcoc points out; the fact that Hawkeye did what he did changed very little for Young Hi -- or did it?
3:16 (2006)
Could it happen today?
Full disclosure: I know the producers (and a number of the actors) and my husband appeared in a crowd scene. However, I think 3:16 is a movie everyone should see and think about.
Watch "3:16" -- but bring hankies! http://www.fylmz.com/view_notloggedin.php?filmID=1069 When the parents of a small child must choose between giving their son's entire blood supply (killing the child) to save the world from a pandemic or allowing the world to die of the pandemic, they face one of the most horrifying decisions any parent can make. And what happens after "happily ever after"? Does anybody care anymore? No-one can (or at least, no-one should) watch "3:16" and remain unmoved. (And, yes, there's a subtext. Deal with it. :-P)
