Frasier: The Babysitter (2003)
"Rimshot Ronnie" Lawrence
The first episode with Ronnie Lawrence, as played by Wendie Malick. Simply can't stand her. Most of her lines sound like there should be a "Ba-dah-BUMP" drum rim shot after each sentence. Not a good match for Marty at all. What were they thinking?
All in the Family: Everybody Tells the Truth (1973)
Hilarious Character Study
"Everybody Tells the Truth" is a hilarious portrait of how one incident of a broken refrigerator can be interpreted in both Mike's and Archie's views...with hilarious results! A previous reviewer thought that the close-ups and the exaggerated behavior of the characters were too much. I believe that was the whole point of the episode: As I was watching both Archie's and Mike's versions of the story, it was a VERY accurate account of how each character REALLY thinks in their life and believes his view was the correct one. Without giving it away, Edith finally sheds the light on the REAL story.
Nip/Tuck: Damien Sands (2007)
Christian and Sean's weak attempt at Reality TV
I like "Nip/Tuck" for its dark humor, gripping storylines, and depth of the characters. Having Christian and Sean sign up for a reality TV series to try to gain more exposure for their practice is an overall weak plot...it cheapens the quality of the show and turns it into a carbon copy of reality TV. Had they dealt with the character conflict in a regular storyline setting, this episode would've been more appealing...instead, it turns into an ear-grating shouting march. Ugh.
