Old Dads (2023)
This movie is real
Lmao should have known what kind of movie this was going to be with Bill Bur in it. I haven't laughed this hard at a comedy since SUPERBAD and JUMP STREET. This movie is really fun and real. Some people may actually be offended by it, but I guess that's to be expected with Bill? So here's a heads up if you are easily offended you might as well skip this movie.
Some conversations and characters will remind you of a few discussions you have had on twitter and Reddit.
The story is definitely the weakest point but regardless the movie is quite fun. And I feel like the movie is more about the characters Than the story itself. All 3 lead actors did a very good job portraying their characters, and there's real brotherhood and chemistry between them.
Virgin River (2019)
Beautiful scenery. Bad writing.
These guys really spent 4 seasons building up the preach-paige storyline just for him to let her leave. This is very reminiscent to them excluding a major character like Hope for a whole Damn season. The writing is laughable at time. Then the guy (preach) gets a thrown a woman in his arms out of nowhere and he decides what harm will it do if I sleep with somebody I know nothing about? Did this guy not learn anything from his past experiences?
New characters are introduced every episode for little to no reason most of the time.
Chairmane, another major character that gets about no screen time on season 5. Same for Ricky.
You get it, this show is a mess at this point. Other than the beautiful scenery it doesn't offer much.
Oppenheimer (2023)
Nolan's best so far?
This movie is an experience. The direction, cinematography and music will take you away. The performances from all the main actors are Oscar worthy. This movie will defy your expectations. Cillian Murphy is definitely Oscar's number 1 contender.
Now I understand that this may not be every person's cup of tea. Some people are seriously going to this movie expecting to have a " fun" time. Tho movie speaks about "probably" the world's biggest catastrophe EVER. Some conversations are very heavy to bear but this is the world we live in and the choices humans and governments make every day.
Can't wait to see Barbie next.
