The Bill Cosby Show: The Old Man of 4-C (1970)
All-star cast memebers from "The Waltons"
Seeing Will Geer and Ellen Corby star in this episode before appearing on the "The Waltons" is interesting. There characters behave almost the same as they would later on. Cosby and Geer do make a funny duo though i could see them playing in serious rolls also. If your into the popular tv shows from the 70s and 80s chances are you will see some of your favorite stars have cameos along side Cosby before they made it big. Seems like this show has always something to do with Chets date or his date getting ruined . Now I wonder did the old man really beat Chet at checkers ? Not much to say more about this episode.
The Waltons: The First Day (1974)
Very off character
Like a previous reviewer wrote this episode was very off considering John-Boys character. He was portrayed like a total elementary kid getting constantly picked on. It seems like the previous episode were John-Boy was in the middle of a land battle! Didn't exist. He doesn't listen to anyone and continued to wear a dumb suit the entire episode. The professor had no good advice for him nore any great dialogue exchange in the end. John Boy forgetting his admission pappers at home while he was already up very early and prepared before he went off to college seemed astonishing.
On the other hand seeing Jason acting a little mature was refreshing.
Bonanza: The Wooing of Abigail Jones (1962)
Comedic episode done well!
If you watched Bonanza 1-3 seasons you already know they are some light heartened episodes in the mix. But for me this one takes the cake for the funniest and most entertaining. Little Joes and Hoss's constant tricks to get Hank and the girl together is funny especially when Adam gets dragged into it!
Bonanza: The Smiler (1961)
Very Unique and exciting episode
In this we see Hoss in a new light and a building tension in this episode.
