Fighting Belle (2017)
Great Local Film!
Fighting Belle is a family friendly movie that is set down South. Overall, the script and story line are very well written/told. Having a cast and extras that were local really helped the community engage more with the film. As it is local, some of the qualities of the film are not as professional as they could be, however with the budget that the film had, I believe that the cast and crew did very well in working together to make this movie come to life. I am very excited to see this movie for the second time and cannot wait until it comes out on DVD.
Arsenal (2017)
Another bloody thriller from Steven C. Miller
Full of blood and violence, Arsenal has clear story line and shows another side of South Mississippi. Mikey(Johnathon Schaech)and JP (Adrian Grenier) are two brothers that grew up having opposite lifestyles. After several drug deals, Mikey gets kidnapped by mobster, Eddie King (Nicolas Cage) until JP pays off his brothers debt. Due to a budget cut, Nicolas Cage's mobster get-up is the only thing that's lacking. Steven C. Miller has a unique style to his directing, which makes for an interesting film. Aside from all the harsh critics, Arsenal is a bloody thriller that accomplished what it set out to do. Not to mention, this film may give the South more filming opportunities and is better than the previous years, Precious Cargo, starring Bruce Willis.
