Cats (2019)
Cats
Meaow meaow ... NO! I went mainly cos Taylor Swift was in it but it was a big mistake.
Leaving Neverland (2019)
Believable and unbelievable at the same time
Their stories sound believable at first because they did spend years hanging out at neverland with MJ so they can give "detailed" stories but noone can say these stories are TRUE you can only say it's believable. But it just feels like lies have been weaved into it. And this "documentary" only gives you one side of the story. If you listen to the Jacksons' side, Jermaine say that Wade sued the Jackson estate 1.5 BILLION which was tossed out in court so he is after money even if he didin't get paid to do this doco. You either see it as 3 people fighting child abuse or I only see this as 3 white men trying to take down a black person. I think they crafted this fiction based on their experience at Neverland with MJ. Like anybody could write it if you had enough material to work from which Wade and James do.
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
I loved this movie
Something about this movie that's really gripping. I just loved this movie. Maybe it's the strength and power of the character Alita. Teaches you the power of will. Fight for yourself and your loved ones. An inspiring movie packed with action and story. I'm looking forward to the sequel. Go Alita!
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
This doesn't deserve to be a Jurassic movie
This movie is just so okay. One of the worst movies I've seen. If there was ever a bad Jurassic TV series it might look like this. The whole movie passed by without any impression. I can imagine it could be entertaining to a younger audience. I guess a movie that's just okay is not such a bad thing but if it convinces one to never watch another Jurassic World again then it might be...
Sabaibaru famirî (2016)
I want to thank this movie
This was unexpectedly good. I LOVED this movie. I always appreciate a movie that depicts family relationships and dynamics. This movie did this in the most beautiful and at times dramatic way. It leaves a very strong impression. Highly recommended. Made me think about humanity, family and what the most real/important things in life are.
Ready Player One (2018)
"Pure Spielberg Magic"
"pure Spielberg magic" really does best describes this movie. It's such a cool and unique movie with a very meaningful message relevant to nowadays. The movie makes you feel like you're in that world like you're one of the spectators/players whichever you wish to be it's so enjoyable and fun to watch makes you truly feel excited and thrilled along with the characters so there is never a stalled moment. Really good acting too It's a movie that has to be watched on the big screen though. I guess there was a lack in something in the development of the plot that's why it didn't make the perfect score. Loved it it's become one of my favourites that I'll watch every now and then.
Mortal Engines (2018)
I know this story...
It's entertaining but honestly watching it I think you'll feel that you know the story already or you've seen it before somewhere lol
Mother! (2017)
Something is wrong
One star for Jennifer Lawrence's acting. The only reason this movie was "successful" plus the fact she was dating its director.
If this movie was somehow different it could have been a masterpiece but as it is it is JUST BAD. The whole time I was watching this movie I felt gross and it's an unpleasant experience which is exactly how this movie makes its audience watch it until the end, to hope and wait for a resolution from all the dissonance which make up this entire movie.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Good but not perfect
I really enjoyed this movie. It didn't give me the buzz you get from actually amazing movies but it was a lot of fun to watch.
I wasn't sure about Cara Delevigne when I saw the trailer but she's good in this movie, suits the character she plays and makes a great rapport with Valerian. They are delightful to watch, really nice work between the two. I like the relationship between the two young guy and girl, it's interesting and very real.
The special effects were awesome, really cool.
The story itself is quite the average sort. But there is beauty and inspiration in its message that's why it didn't bother me.
Wasn't sure about Rihanna either when I saw the trailer, it was okay. I just thought it's weird to see Rihanna there. Cos Rihanna's Rihanna... her personality is just too big to be anything other than herself!
I recommend watching it on the big screen otherwise it might not live up to its worth.
Allied (2016)
Quite good
This movie is very well done I thoroughly enjoyed it and would watch it again. It is a pleasant experience.
It creates a world and every character in it fits perfectly into it and also takes you into the world as well that when you start watching it you feel you are transported into the ambiance and feeling the of the place it's set in.
It is also very aesthetically pleasing. Very elegant, warm, loving and beautiful. Beautiful and handsome actors, colourfully rich and interesting setting and complementing dialogues between the main characters.
There is a good balance between the simplicity of how the events unfold and the depth of emotions presented.
There are definitely room for improvement and some less interesting scenes but it didn't stop me from enjoying the movie as it is.
Pitt and Cotillard do a wonderful job creating their own characters and also to create the couple that they were, makes them totally believable allowing the audience to enjoy the ebb and flow of the husband and wife dynamics.
Assassin's Creed (2016)
Worst movie I've ever seen
It was the worst movie I'd ever seen. Watched it with my boyfriend we both agreed it was absolutely dreadful. I've seen Marion Cotillard recently in Allied and I love the actress but even she couldn't save the movie.
I did really like the music though that was one good thing about the movie which helped me bear it until the end otherwise I would have walked out.
It is very uninspiring and stifling and too serious ALL the time. There was not one heart-warming moment in the film or even just humour.
There are a few exciting fighting scenes but after some of it it begins to feel very repetitive lacking imagination and variety.
The plot is somewhat ornamented but the skeleton of it is overly simple and far from being interesting enough to be the kind that grips your attention.
So in summary it was quite boring.
