The O.C.: The Graduates (2006)
all over again!!!
Can i just say wow that episode was amazing, except i can't believe that Marissa was killed off!!! it was truly tearful, especially the way it showed Ryan from the previous episode in Tahiti, saving her then, except this time he couldn't. thats unbelievable, however its so predictable that the next season will all be about Ryan and his uncontrollable anger. I suppose it will again be a constant battle for the Cohen's and Ryan himself, to stay on the straight and narrow and stop him from seeking revenge. Upsettingly though Ryan was just getting sorted, going off to college, and him and Marissa seemed to be getting on better than when they were together. But maybe this precedes the next series as Ryan will be crushed and the big question will be "WILL RYAN RETURN TO HIS WICKED WAYS?!!" whatever happens, i hope volchuck realises what he's done, killed of the true fashion icon of the show and obviously everybody's favourite rebel Marissa. boo hoo.
American Gothic (1995)
American Gothic ...where did you go??
You think by now TV producers would listen to their audiences, if they had done, they would have given us series 2 of this amazing, over powering creation. Yes I may sound a tad crazy but i just love this series and as us in the UK didn't get it to much later i feel saddened it wasn't given a chance....but yet it still has a cult following as it deserves! Does anyone out there in the void know why it was cancelled exactly i would dearly love to know?? :-( but i guess the chemistry of all the amazing actors Gary Cole, Paige Turco etc could never be recreated.. well all i can say is 'rest in pease'American Gothic you shall never be forgotten!
Pride & Prejudice (2005)
Pride and Prejudice
I went to see a preview of the film last night and I have to say, as a without comparison film it was a pleasure to watch But ....and it's a big but the BBC's adaptation was by far the superior! On Costume, Character and the general X factor! I understand it was filmed with a tad more realism with regards to costume and a dangerous lack of make up but for those whom have seen the BBC version, I hope they agree that the most important factor in the film that was missing.....was the character development. Even in the first scene it was clear Darcy liked Lizzy where as the BBC clearly portrayed the friction and chemistry between them immediately. Of course TV has more time to provide the viewer with intimate touches and intense glances and the 'Mr Darcy' from Jenny Ehle could never be recreated.......on the whole the BBC had it right all the long...Lyme hall will always be my Pemberly and Colin Firth forever more my Mr Darcy!
