Attack on Fear (1984 TV Movie)
Available on VHS/DVD?
27 October 2011
I think this is too good a movie to be relegated to the dustbin of history and I agree with the previous reviewer that it has stood the test of time very well. It's also a rare look at the tiny town of Point Reyes Station, located about 30 miles north of San Francisco and about 30 miles south of Bodega Bay, where Hitchcock filmed THE BIRDS. (By the way, the little newspaper depicted in the movie, The Point Reyes Light, is still publishing today!) Unfortunately, it's clear that the studios have no intention of releasing this, even though many lesser made-for-TV movies have been widely released on commercial home media. So if anyone has this on VHS or DVD (or even 16mm!), I'd be grateful if you'd get in touch with me. THANKS!

Cannon: He Who Digs a Grave (1973)
Season 3, Episode 1
Available on DVD or VHS?
24 December 2007
If anyone has a quality copy of this two-part episode on VHS or, preferably, DVD, would you please contact me? It was filmed in my home town (Grass Valley, CA) and I've been looking for it for years! It was fascinating watching all the well-known celebrities (Anne Baxter, Barry Sullivan, David Janssen, etc.) traipsing around town, as well as a few reliable supporting actors (Royal Dano, Murray Hamilton, Dabbs Greer, etc.) whom I did not know at the time but came to be familiar with over the years. I do not believe this has had an official video release at any time over the years, so I'd be most grateful to anyone who can help me find it. Thanks!

What are the best U.N.C.L.E. Movies?
12 September 2007
I completely agree that this is the best of the U.N.C.L.E. movies. I especially like the sequence when Napoleon Solo descends a rope ladder dangling from a helicopter onto a moving train to disconnect the freight car holding a rocket. It's actually two segments--Robert Vaughn hanging from a mock-up at the MGM studios and a stuntman (whose face is never seen) doing the actual stunts on a moving train in the Sierras. The sequence is so well photographed and edited that it's nigh-well impossible to tell that it was actually filmed in two different locations with two different actors. But my question is: how do U.N.C.L.E. fans rank the U.N.C.L.E. films? From best to worst?
