No Time to Die (2021)

This Is Not Bond, James Bond !

This film has a lot going for it, first class on many fronts, great acting, great action scenes, fantastic score , beautifully photographed, large amounts of surprises and nods to the other bond films.

But my rating is 1 star, because the story just isn't Bond, without giving anything away the story line pulls it down to a standard action flick, yes it does have sections of the whole story that are very Bond, but then big sections that are not.

Replacement of director , script writers has taken it's toll, worth a watch, but a bit of a betrayal to the Bond franchise.

Re : Season 1 ... great story, great acting ... but why lie about it's all a true story ... found out at the end after research that's it's not a true story, even though at the start of every episode says it's all true , every detail ... felt fooled and used.

Lots of disappointed reviewers and poor rating for this film ... which is unjust, production values are strong, very good cast, good score with well made effects and beautifully photographed. The script is a horror mystery, horror fans will see the nods to other famous horror movies, a very enjoy watch, way way better than a lot of the low & middle budget horrors kicking about. Recommended.

Such as shame and all the main actors were absolutely superb ,thank you Eva & Matt for great performances and bringing a very special something to the screen. Unfortunately the film itself is firstly so slow and boring in places film, secondly the film's story is on face value promoting the strength of women, but in fact it's the opposite, where the two men astronauts cope very well with their life, training and pressures, the female astronaut stumbles around, barely coping and making a mess of things ! For a female director as well, come on, lets see woman equal or more so in strength, intelligence and power houses !!!! Waste of an opportunity with the 'men' producers pulling the strings!

Absolute trash! Art work on the case is totally misleading and the best part of the film , Lohan is an 'and' to the feature, very poor production values, terrible acting and a unnecessary overcomplicated weak plot. It has a quite high budget that i can only assume the heads enjoyed themselves with expenses as it certainly doesn't show in the film production. If you like your low budget weak film that can be picked up for under a $1 this is a must for you. In a word to sum up this film ..... excrement

Cats (2019)

Pleasantly Surprised .... Meowtastic!

Lots and lots of bad reviews on this one from production, effects and poor acting. I've just watched the movie with an open mind and enjoyed the movie from start to finish, runs very quickly, great performances all round, effects were great and the $100 million budget certainly can be seen on screen. I'm not a fan of this director, but the film does deliver here, more due to an excellent cast of well experienced and very good young upcoming stars. Younger children may find it a little unsettling as the cats can be quite forceful at times. A must see for musical lovers !!!!

Judy & Punch (2019)

That's The Way To Do It!

A reworking of the Punch & Judy puppet show, set in a non explainable time and location. Great acting from all, script is well above average, a good solid budget which looks of high quality on the screen, and an absolutely fantastic music score. A very well made period horror / thriller, really worth a watch, probably more than once.

.... the script was very lame and so childish, did a ten year old boy write this ?! , so many plot holes and unacceptable situations. production values is so so, cheap CGI effects spoilt some scenes, some the acting was very poor, the the main professional actors were at there usual high standard, plenty of action, but again the story is so simple and really childlike, perhaps cut the swearing and some of the hard violence and you have a film for young teens ... very disappointing.

Unfortunately this film has attracted alot of dislike and hate from viewers which i can partly understand as if you're looking for a big budget with a new take on Big foot, then i guess i would feel a little disappointed, but this film is for your real 1980's horror fan, a little treat to take us back when we were young. It's middle budget with nice location and the story has some twists, some very well done gore and moves quite quickly. If you're a real horror film fan you will notice the numerous horror references, with great nods to creature features and slasher movies, amongst others, also with a small cameo of Adrienne Barbeau, and featuring Brian Thompson & Ben Browder, with a great music score from Alan Howarth ... if don't know who these people are, then this movie is not for you!

The Grudge (2019)

Great Horror Flick !!!

I've seen all the other Grudge movies and the latest is great addition, great production values, very good acting, story and direction with another brilliant score from the Newton Brothers. Night in, have some great scares, very well done, just a suggestion to the director : the 25 mins of deleted scenes , they would have worked fine left in the movie, but on the other hand 90 min version works well too.

Black Christmas (2019)

Great horror flick ... but

The Film : Great acting, good production and a worthy third 'Black Christmas' outing, has a new take for a new generation, enjoyed it and worth watching, a lot goes on and a good body count , but .... the cutting from 'R' rating to 'PG 13' did spoil it some what for me as it shows on screen. PG-13 : It's not so much that it's missing the stronger gore / violence, it's that it was filmed as an R rating and then sections cut out to lower the rating, because it does show in the film and makes some of the film incoherent and flow badly. Overall : still worth a watch

Charlie's Angels (2019)

Pretend Feminist Movie with Some Good Action Scenes !!

The film has good production values, good acting all round, simple script and some great action set pieces, making it and 'ok' film to watch, enjoyable and at times funny, and not at all boring. Digging deeper into the film is a purpose of promoting and pushing equality for woman, and showing their abilities are as good as men or better and some of the issues women face today and before ... but unfortunately this is a 'pretend' feminist film, it promotes woman from a male point a view, we have a female director / writer that has obviously been dominated and still controlled by men and the male dominated Hollywood, for example we have three female angles, one is angry and bitter, one is a dumb blonde and the other is a rookie and having trouble learning and in constant need of help, and for another example they are dressed just the way men like, tight dresses, sexy backside and even suspender belts !!!, even a scene when one of the angels is chained like a dog. A great opportunity was lost here to make a film with three strong powerful female leads, instead the male version of a feminist film, if you don't look to deep it is an entertaining action comedy, worth a watch.

... if you want to believe all the high rating reviews ... that's your choice , i've seen the movie and have no connection to the film makers ... to me it's low budget rubbish, poor acting, poor script , action is belittled by the cheap CGI and cheap props ... i want my money back!

Coronation Street (1960– )

Much loved by many, this show from being part of the nation has become unfit for human enjoyment or entertainment at the hands of the ITV bosses, it's not even fit enough to be flushed down the toilet !!! I used to be a great fan, never missing an episode, enjoying the great acting, story lines and the whole corrie universe, now it has been hit hard on two fronts in the last couple of years, which i can only presume that the ITV heads are wanting to end the series or sell it on. Although the acting is generally good and far superior to other TV Soaps, the two major points in it's continued downfall are as follows ... Point 1 Scheduling by ITV ... ITV have absolutely no care for Corrie episode planning, we go to moves such as 9 - 9.30pm start times to make way for X-Factor finals, to complete cancellations for football, even changes from 30 mins to one hour episodes to make way for Lewis etc, with the added enjoyment of the announcer forgetting to inform us of when the next episode is .... oh well, there answer is go to the HUB and watch catch up TV, no i think if you don't care why should i? Point 2 Script .... the script writing is absolutely horrendous and completely unbelievable, well loved characters suddenly becoming killers, level headed persons becoming serial bigamists, criminals becoming saints ... if i want to watch Game Of Thrones then i watch the good stuff not cheap TV wannabe! On the whole the show has become a real let down, with the odd occasion that has inspiration but generally annoying and dull. After i broke the addition i now find it very very easy not to watch Corrie, plenty other things to do and watch, ITV if you don't care then i don't !

This is a very sensitive, powerful, heartbreaking and evil period in our still living memory , writers, actors, directors and producers should approach this area carefully and respectfully. Sadly this team didn't, very low budget, poor script, poor acting and poor everything, if you can't do it properly don't do it !!! the reviews on the DVD box claim ... ' A companion Piece To Schindler's List' & ' An Engaging World War II Drama' quoted from Bryn Curt James Hammond (look him up on IMDB) , should be sued for those comments and obviously paid, did he even see the film??? . If i could give '0' score i would , shame on all the crew and people involved !!!!

Middle Of The Road Action Flick!!

The director has made of few of these thrillers normally starring Bruce Willis in small appearances, well, this one's the same but with Sly appearing every 15 mins for a few minutes , but does have an active part at the end. Some of the negative reviews are over critical, has a good start, interesting middle and the last third is all action ... a cut above an CSI Tv episode but nowhere near John Wick ... Ok thriller to pass the time.

Phil & Holly Sketch Show ... And Not That Funny!

'This Morning' used ( a very long time ago ) to be a great magazine show with a varied schedule of interesting subjects, from great true stories to health advice, money matters and current topics. All presenters fall short, very short, delivering a show that is quite boring, full of competitions, playground jokes and behaviour and makes it very easy to switch channels, the worst are the main hosts Phil & Holly, they seem to enjoy their little private jokes, and talk about the show as a family but leaving the viewer as an outsider and a stranger, living and presenting in their little TV bubble making sure everyone knows how great they are and the viewer should be honoured to watch and worship them .... No Thanks! Rather watch the other Channel !!
