SURVIVAL
30 September 2023
This is the best acting that I have seen in a very long time. Although IMDb doesn't show her name up front, there is no doubt that Spanish actress, Anna Castillo, does all of the heavy lifting. As the survivalist, this one women shows her grit and ingenuity throughout this traumatic ordeal. Although Mia seems somewhat docile in the beginning, as time goes by, she does whatever is necessary for her survival. No challenge, of which there were many, deterred her from accomplishing their completion.

The acting and directing, of this drama, is superb. Anna Castillo's Mia carried the entire movie. And Albert Pinto directing in the ocean was challenge he successfully mastered.

Don't expect the world

Not one of the best in this sea of period pieces presently running. The magic in this one is the interactive performances, sarcasm and humor by Dakota Johnson and Henry Golding.

Typical CW

I wish they would have stuck to telling the sci-fi, conspiracy, espionage story. I still can't figure out the purpose/need to portray the protagonist as a promiscuous sexual predator.

Terrible direction...

Geoff please return to acting!

This is an example of the worst CG.

The plot left a lot to be desired.

Although the first review, which I have determined was written by someone associated with this production, got me to watch. This is a fair warning, don't watch this unless you want to see what not to do, in making a movie.

All of the actors had potential but no direction.

Wasted potential...

I was very disappointed by this offering.

It was all over the place trying to tell multiple stories at once and failing miserably. What was the purpose?

Predictable to a fault.

The writing and direction wandered, the actors deserved better.

Finally a return to basics...

This show reminds me of why I was first drawn to super heroes. This contains the ingredients missing in all of the super hero shows presently airing.

Drama, Comedy and Suspense!!!

This ensemble is not over the top, by any means. After viewing three episodes, at least five different plot lines have been revealed. Do yourself a favor and don't pass on this show.

deja vu

A true blast from the past! I am not one that is nostalgia driven but I must say that this reminds me of movies from my distant past. This best captures the realism of the B movies of the 60's, that played at Saturday matinees, before the main feature. Back when you would go to the movies and see multiple shows for the price of a single ticket.

Every story has a beginning...
7 July 2017
Decentman wasn't to decent with his review, I will try to dispel the rumor, that this was poorly written.

Snowfall began by showing the disconnect between the have and have-nots, and the solutions provided to close that gap. Reality can be very ugly, and be the basis for an ugly truth, that crack/cocaine stole the hopes and dreams of a society.

The landscapes where most of the events take place, are not stylized and cocaine use was not sensationalized. The character development, supplied in this pilot, prepares us for the horrific ride we are about to embark.

The writing was a mirror reflection of those turbulent times.
