Molly Aunty Rocks (2012)
A must watch!
A very refreshing story. I saw this movie 7 years after its release and the subject is still very much relevant. More such movies need to be made! Loved the casting! It was very refreshing to see a woman character facing a real life problem and not just a gender based problem. Revathi ma'am exudes the confidence and courage I see in the women around me and more films should have characters like Molly aunty! Prithviraj's character, supposed to be the antagonist, has also been crafted so beautifully. He wasn't portrayed as an evil man seeking revenge, but very realistically portrayed. And of course I have to appreciate the witty and humorous character, Molly's lawyer Salim, played by Mamukkoya. Must watch!
God Friended Me (2018)
A beautiful show!
The intriguing title and the trailer drew me towards the show, especially since I have always been more of an atheist in a house full of theists. I started watching the show when I wasn't in a very good phase in life and thank God I did! I don't know if god exists but the timing couldn't have been better! Every episode made me smile wide by the end. The show's purpose is not to the prove or disprove the existence of God. It serves a much greater purpose! No cliches, no sermons, just a feel good show full of positivity that makes you look at life from a different perspective. Very different from a lot of other shows I have seen. All the actors have done a tremendously good job. The best part of the show is the different aspects of life it touches upon and the little snippets at the end of every episode. Definitely makes you feel closer to life.
