Clarice (2021)
Boring rubbish
To be fair, the first 2 episodes of this were actually OK. After that, it's gone downhill fasyer thab Amy Williams on a skeleton bob.
There doesn't appear to be a coherent storyline, I no longer care what happens to any of the characters and find myself prsying that each episode is the last one.
Failing that, some sort of disaster which kills off all the characters or a meteor destroying the Earth would be a blessing.
Here's praying there's not a second series.
Silent Witness: Fear: Part 1 (2012)
What was this supposed to be?
Shockingly bad. Poorly written. I can only assume someone thought they were being "edgy" - they failed.
Not worth watching sober, let alone after a glass or two. Don't waste 2 hours of your life you'll never get back.
The Sister (2020)
What the Holy Crap was this?
Absolute garbage. Jumps about like a flea on acid while managing to not explain anything so you've no idea who is who or what is going on. What were they thinking..clearly no one was or they wouldn't have filmed this rubbish.
Luther: Episode #3.3 (2013)
......And the Cobblers just keep on coming.
I can only imagine that the BBC were struggling for proper writers for this series. Lazy, lazy writing has left us with the eye-bleedingly & totally unconvincing DCI Gray & DS Stark. How in one scene they can arrest someone for murder then in the next tell the same person who did it is beyond belief. Thank God there aren't that many episodes left.
Luther: Episode #3.2 (2013)
And the Garbage continues
Having been suitably unimpressed by the first episode of this series, the root continues as someone feels that DCI Gray & DS Stark are remotely believable - they're not. The more these people appear in these episodes, the more I realise I have paint drying that I must watch. I cannot wait for this series to end so I can try & unsee it.
Luther: Episode #3.1 (2013)
Absolute Rubbish
Stopped watching this episode after the introduction of "DCI Gray" & "DS Stark". As if this would ever happen in the UK. This is the sort of feeble minded claptrap that you usually find in U.S. crime dramas & I can only assume this series was designed to appeal to the U.S. where shoe sizes tend to outweighs IQs. I will try the other episodes but something tells me the BS rating will only increase.
The ABC Murders (2018)
GARBAGE
What the hell was this supposed to be? I've read this book umpteen times and seen previous versions of it and can honestly say this drivel is the worst pile of....
This held my attention for around 20 minutes, then when I realised it was absolute rubbish, I switched it off & didn't bother with the rest of it.
For a start, Poirot is made out to be past it & some sort of police pariah and figure of ridicule when in Christie's world he was at the height of his powers.
Next, the death of Chief Inspector Japp (who by the way had retired to allow Rupert Grint's pointless charscter) just didn't happen in any version I've seen or read.
Cust was portrayed as some sort of psychotic maniac rather than a former soldier suffering with OTSD following WW I who should be empathised with rather than be made out a villain.
Custs landlady seemed to be some psychotic druk whose daughter was a prostitute, sleeping with male boarders at the B&B - what??!!! Can honestly say that never happened in the novel and shouldn't have here.
As for the second victim Betty Barnard - when did she become a prostitute? In the original, she was killed on her way home from a night out but in this, she was painted ad a floozy, constantly throwing herself at men & ecpecting them to provide her with things (e.g. Stockings) - nonsense.
I was so disinterestef & disgusted with this travesty that I couldn't bear any more. Christie would be turning in her grave & there's an argument for searcjing for whoever muedered this.
Final Score (2018)
Absolute clap-trap
This is nowhere near Die Hard in a stadium. Forgetting the fact that West Ham can't buy a win, let alone get to a semi-final this is just utter nonsense. Thankfully, it's not as long (2 hours) as I feared it would be but it was just like watching West Ham - a waste of time & money.
Dad's Army (2016)
Original was poor - this is worse
I never really liked the original Dad's Army series on TV but this film makes it look like conedy genius.
Really dull, uninspiring characters who aren't a patch on the originals combinex with a paper thin, unfunny script combine to make this feel like a 3hour film.
Save youself the trouble of wondering how you'll get the lost time back & just avoid it in the first place.
