Here is a film for understanding basic science as it is applied

Exactly the kind of film I like to give to my 12-17 year old children. So many films seen by this generation supply an avalanche of surprises and maybe some suspense.
In the contrary here is a film that shows the making of a simple object: a wooden bucket, step by step. The action is set in 1850 in rural north America. Having a wooden bucket is essential in a time where there is no plumbing available. While the Cooper instructs his apprentice on how to make a wooden Bucket from scratch we learn about woodwork, geometry, mechanics, Physics and history every day life history and there is a funny ending when proof is given that the bucket holds water.
