Kafir: Bersekutu dengan Setan (2018)
A Must Watch!
My friend recommend me this movie, said it was one of the best horror movie this year, i thought it would come as average. Boy oh boy i was wrong!
The acting in this movie was very good!, I'm very surprised local talents could be this good(or maybe because i rarely watch local movies). It felt so cinematic yet so natural and real. For me it was on par with Hereditary. Yes it is THAT good.
The special effects was not disappointing at all. For a movie with small budget, you can't get any better.
The story was nice too, it felt fresh and different(in a good way) than other local horror movies. Always left you wondering WTF is going on.
Overall, this movie deserves your time!
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
The Worst Spider-Man Movies, Yet The Most On Point One
Now before i go with the bad things let's start with the good things first
I loved Tom Holland acting in this movie, this is what really stand out from the other Spider-Man movie. As much as i love Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man/Peter Parker but both of them has flaws, as Tobey make a great Spider-Man but bad Peter, and Andrew make a great Peter but bad Spider-Man, but this case didn't happen with Tom as he make both great Spider-Man and Peter at the same time and i'm really grateful for it.
I can't help but notice the more vibrant color of this movie, Marvel somehow managed to get this one right unlike the previous Marvel movies that looked a little bit dull for my taste, this one is more pleasing to the eyes.
The Casts selection was fresh and it is good although not great, but each one of them played their character really well.
A few nods both to the comic or previous movies that brings out the inner nerd in you
The humor is good, even though some are a little bit cringe worthy and unfunny but overall it is what you expected from the comic book
Now let's go with the bad news
The story felt like it was written by a 12 years old, it really feels light and doesn't have weight to it whatsoever, it is seriously disappointing, it felt like they only shows us a series of random events just to fill in the 2 hours mark.
And it doesn't ends there, there's so much thing that didn't make any sense and there's a few examples of it one of them being the Washington Memorial scene which Spidey is suddenly afraid of heights even though swinging from tall building to tall building was almost like his everyday meal.
The fight scene lacks realism, sure you could argue about this being a superhero film that supposed to be far from how the real world works, but compared to previous movies this one really lacks it, evidence being the climax fight with Vulture when he was buried in rubble, falls from great height, punched by a steel fist, got thrown here and there and he somehow survives with barely any bruises, no cuts, and no tear from his suits.
Some of the character was underdeveloped and The Shocker appearance is disappointing he was almost felt like an extra and doesn't have that atmosphere of him being one of the main villains in the movie.
Overall i kinda feel bad about this movie, it has it potential but end up with many flaws and a few good things to barely redeem itself
