The Witcher (2019)
I've played the games and read the books..
Overall it's pretty good. CGI looks better than I expected. Visuals are stunning, and the main characters do the roles quite well.
The story line is good but can be very confusing if you haven't read the books; jumping between timelines occurs frequently to help cover much ground. This seasons two books in.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (2016)
It's worth every star
Initially I gave up on this anime. After the first episode I boiled it down to every other anime. except with a different twist. I restarted it based upon it's high MAL rating. Boy was I wrong. This anime takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. It becomes torment, with the main characters will slowly breaking to such a degree that I personally found almost hard to watch. If you can connect with it on that level, than you will find not many other anime that can portray that kind of hopelessness, frustration, and pure agony. It's not all traumatic, except for the parts that give this anime grip. This anime needs not more explanation than that.
Hilarity for Charity (2018)
Brutal
Kudo's to them for doing it for charity. A lot of money was made that night. From people paying to leave early.
The funniest part was hearing from the audience how much they didn't enjoy the opening.
Death Note (2017)
Such a disappointment
This remake is just awful. Very little is related to the Anime. No stoicism. I'm watching it as I write this review. 30 minutes in and it is PAINFUL. Watch the original anime. If you've already seen that, then give the Netflix remake 10 minutes of your time. It deserves more negative reviews.
Grumpier Old Men (1995)
Perfect in every way
A hilarious duo between Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. The graphics are what you expect from 1995. The story line/script is fitting. Every character is believable without question. Most importantly, the comedy is pure gold. First watched this movie at maybe 8yrs old, and must have seen it over 100 x's by now. Don't let the IMDb rating fool you. Give it 15 minutes, and you'll know whether or not the movie is for you.
