The Disaster Artist (2017)
Amazing
I have fallen asleep watching the RiffTrax version of The Room every once in a while. This made me laugh as much. Franco brothers were absolutely perfect. Though, for anyone who hasn't watched this with the RiffTrax complement, I genuinely recommend it.
Also, the number of famous actors that had cameos was delightful. And it's nice Tommy Wiseau seemed to be in on the joke. That, or he still just seeks fame and is oblivious to his own horrendous writing and acting skills. Either way, I'd be his friend and act in his weird movie too.
It definitely gives me Troll 2 vibes with the reunion insinuation.
Spiker (1985)
Great!
Ok I watched the RiffTrax version and I'm biased as my kids' and my last name is the same as the name of the movie, but I truly enjoyed it. I don't understand the low overall reviews.
Bully (2001)
Why the hate?
Little different from the book and that annoyed me a bit, but good movie.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
I must have forgotten how bad this one was
I'm rewatching the series casually. Meaning I've got it on in the background while I'm doing other things. Even recommended my sister, mother try watching this even though the last episode is really awful. Then this episode comes on. What was I thinking? I'm angry all over again and I'm not even wasting my time like I did watching it the first time. I'm busy doing other constructive things and yet had to stop to post this just because I'm so annoyed.
Cobra Kai (2018)
Amazing
Im middle aged. I saw Karate Kid movies when they were new. They're obviously cheesy as hell in retrospect, but delightfully nostalgic. This is so absurdly fantastic.
The Handmaid's Tale (2017)
I want so badly to like this
I can handle unrealistic. I accepted the truth of the Hunger Games and the other absurd similar movies of the same genre. I want so badly to find a show I could appreciate watching regularly. This just isn't it. It's lacking attention to its own history. It's drama for the sake of drama and with absolute disrespect of the intelligence and memory of its audience. It isn't evolving but stuck in this fatalistic quagmire that it doesn't even explain properly. I feel dumber for having tried to watch the 3rd season and I feel bad for the actors who deserve better.
Circle (2015)
Hilarious!
Really awful movie, but my son and I quote it all the time when we encounter anything seemingly difficult. "We have to try" we say in an really bad actor way.
Plot: someone comes up with an idea to save people, someone disagrees, someone supports the original idea person. Almost everyone dies
Dumb, but hilarious.
ATM (2012)
Not even so bad it's good
There are so many unbelievable things about this movie, but the most glaring to me was that any of these characters would have lived to adulthood in the first place. I love a dumb scary movie. This was not that.
The Room (2003)
Should be watched with Rifftrax
Amazing, hilarious, wonderful. My kids recommended this knowing my love for Troll 2 and Showgirls. Watched it alone and later with the Rifftrax accompaniment. Highly entertaining.
