I like House of the Dead (VG). It has not a brilliant story like metal gear for example, but I spent hours playing (and wasting money on) it.
When I saw this title, I decided to give it a try. The game story was interesting enough and, after all, there were zombies and creepy creatures on it!! I must admit I didn't expect this movie to be outstanding, but neither did I expect to be like this. Sometimes we complaint about movies without being objective, because we didn't like this or that, and other viewers can think different. This is the one movie where this rule doesn't apply. The movie sucks, it has no plot (even the game had a better plot, and you were shooting things 99% of the time), the jokes are not funny, the actors seem retarded, but the worst is that for the first time in my life this movie gave me the impression that the director was insulting me and my intelligence (I don't know how to explain it in other way). It seems like the guy is laughing his ass off in front of all the fans of the game (if any) and all the people who paid something to see his "work".
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of horror movies, and I'm accustomed to bad movies (in fact there are few good horror movies out there) but this one crosses the line of RESPECT towards the viewer. Other directors at least tried to do something right, this man tried to do everything wrong and insulting, and I must admit he excelled at it.
