Chefs vs Wild (2022)
Fun new Cooking Show
If you're looking for a survivalist show where people struggle to stay alive, this is not that. What it is, is a fun new way to do a cooking show where the contestants have to forage their own ingredients.
I do think that highlighting the survival aspect a bit more would be interesting but for a show trying to highlight foraging and cooking, it's accomplishing its goals. You do see chefs exhausted because they are getting minimal sleep, and affected by the lack of food or quality food.
If you are excited about new culinary experiences I would highly recommend this show. If you are looking for a show based on people surviving in the wilderness, this is not that. The cooking element is what makes this show fun, different, and exciting.
100 Humans (2020)
Entertainment Science but...
I can understand people not liking the hosts and some of the experiments are definitely not overly scientific, however if you watched this and felt that they were targeting straight white males, you might want to examine why that's your first reaction. We all get that it's only 100 people, that's not enough to have a real scientific outcomes. The hosts extrapolating on outcomes is also not a real explanation. I think we all know that the age episode does not mean that 40 year olds are the worst age. If you are taking this personally, I think there might be something else at play there. Calm down and watch something else.
