There is nothing subtle about the books or the TV adaptations. And they are both good in their own way.

I enjoyed series 1, and I'm enjoying series 2, long may they continue to make the TV versions - so far there are about 16 books, so the cast has lots of work going forward.
In case you're wondering, I don't care that they don't follow correct procedures or rules or stuff like that, I enjoy Reacher purely for its entertainment value - for me, that's what Reacher is all about.
