Dessert (2022)
No dinner. No Dessert.
Dessert directed by Gabrielle Rosson leaves you with an uplifting experience despite its grime tone of a Hollywood marriage on the rocks. Set during the depression in Hollywood California, Dessert follows the lives of Hollywood housewife and her studio director husband who has a wondering eye. The main female lead is left unsatisfied under her current circumstances with her workaholic husband, however Dessert will not leave you unsatisfied with Rosson's beautiful direction akin to technicolor and her wonderful set decoration and two beautiful leads. Dessert will leave you hungry for more. Highly recommend!
Step Right Up (2022)
So come on down to Big Dave's!
Step Right Up is an energetic hilarious film with a strong message and an equally stronger cast. Justin Thibault leads the film in a captivating yet humorous way similar to that of John Goodman or Joaquin Phoenix. The story is equally as funny with randomness and insanity sprinkled throughout the film. Everyone in the cast lends to the insanity and the overall comedic yet dramatic undertone of the film. "It's the little things that matter" says Glen Tavern. A little film with a big story about the little things such as a coffee maker, will leave you in tears and pondering "Do The little things matter just as much as the big things In life?" In order to find out, "Come on down to Big Dave's!"
The Loner (2019)
A modern day Tale of redemption through the eyes of a Gangster.
This raw and gritty tale tells the story of Frank Rizzo. A hitman for the New England mob as he struggles to find redemption for his past sins.
A raw and ultra indie attempt at a human story.
10/10
The Mouse in The Bread (2018)
A moving indie film that is well directed.
I happen to see this film and I was very moved by the overall script and characters in the film. I thought it was an overall good indie film with a blend of Drama and Comedy. I was very much intrigued by the film
Despite some amateur camera work, this was an excellent character centered film. See it if you can.
Delusion (2016)
The Best Indie horror film out there.
Happened to see the film on Amazon and I was honestly blown away by it's acting and directing. Seems to me the director took inspiration from the great horror directors of yesteryear. Most horror films out there are worthless and not worth your time, Even by Hollywood standards but Delusion holds up and should by seen by anyone who considers themselves a horror film buff.
Permanent (2014)
A throwback nod to gritty drama
This film rides off the rails of grittiness and seduction. as the powerful dark world behind the even more dark characters show glimpses of hope in their bleak lifestyle, This film tightens your neck and does not let go. Which is what films nowadays are supposed to do, bring you into a world and let you know the characters and the eviorment they thrive in. Permanent does all these things and the direction is equally complimented by the brilliant cast. I was fortunate to see this gem of an indie flick and I am glad to say that I was not bored, A solid film all around and barely any downtime. I look forward to what the director does next. 8/10
