Best in Dough (2022)
Need better pizza makers
I LOVE pizza and so this show is fun. I make pizza several times a week, but this show ends up being a topping show with a pizza theme. Half the contestants don't even know how to cook their dough. Pizza is 80% crust. If your crust sucks then your pizza sucks, but the judges glaze over that multiple times an episode. "Well your crust is an airless ball of uncooked goop... but these toppings are tremendous!" That's not pizza. Biggest flaw with the show. If they fix that and get better PIZZA makers then it could be a lot of fun. The concept of bringing people from different walks of life is nice, but there are lots of home cooks that can make amazing pizza. Maybe let them do practice runs with the ovens to learn the baking temps/times.
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
The next wave of innovation
This program reminds me of the first time I saw Avatar in theaters. It wasn't the most creative storyline. It wasn't the most useful or successful adoption of the 3D concept, but it was the first to jump in with both feet and do so with legimate success. While the 3D experience has left much to be desired, 3D and VR will eventually move the genre to new places. I feel this version of storytelling will do the same.
