Cocaine Bear (2023)
8/10
Advanced screening
23 February 2023
What a wild ride! The "ambulance scene" alone makes this movie worth a watch. Totally insane, scary, funny and gory. The bear is really well made and most of the scenes with it are bananas. A lot of different characters throughout the movie. They all have their own sub plot but they blend pretty well. When it tends to drag a little bit the bear always pops out for more fun and kills so it's always entertaining and goofy. Great directing, special effects and acting. Most of the easy jokes landed, the whole theatre was laughing out loud the entire movie. A good comedy horror entry. Nothing revolutionary but ultimately a really fun popcorn movie.

Wolf Pack (2023)

Atmospheric Teen Horror Show
26 January 2023
The pilot was a great introduction. Loved every minute of it. The show is very atmospheric and eerie. Special effects are pretty good, not "HBO budget" but they really work in horror to creates almost dream like sequences, to let the fantasy aspect of the show set in. THE werewolf is introduced with parcimonie and looks freaking epic! The graphic sequences were well made and effective. You can tell this is just the start and they introduced the classic teenagers and werewolf tropes fast to be able to embark us on a more complex journey. Sarah Michelle Gellar is here for a reason and I can't wait to see why by the end of the season, I'm sure it's more than for the whodunit aspect! So nice to see her back in Horror. Can't hardly wait for the next episodes!

The Grudge with a Smile
28 September 2022
SMILE was a good stylish fun horror movie. The acting was impeccable with some solid second characters in the background. With that being said, many jump scares would have been more effective have they not been in the trailer... All in all a nice moment to kick off spooky season. Can't shake a feeling of déjà vu, The Grudge meets The Happening if you will but the atmosphere and the relentlessness of it all makes it still quite effective. Jump scares aside it is the type of horror movie that crawls under your skin and stays in your mind after the movie is done rather than pure terror. The directing is quite claustrophobic and makes you feel very small and dizzy. Liked the ending!

A lovely eerie movie

Beautifully crafted with amazing performances and sceneries. The story keeps evolving crescendo but becomes at time convoluted yet it all made sense in the end. Somewhat gave me the vibe of a brainstorming session between Hitchcock, Darren Aronofsky and Agatha Christie and the result is nothing short of spectacular. Entertaining. Frightening. Gorgeous.

I had a blast! Really funny and clever at the same time. Loved the cameos and the soundtrack. Mariah Carey's Fantasy blasting the whole time is a mood 😎Sometimes the pacing is off but the concept is so cool that it's easily forgiven. A blockbuster with a big heart. Have a great day!

Wow 😮
24 July 2021
I watched all 5 episodes in one sitting. Amazing job by the whole cast but especially Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mark Hamill and Lena Headey. They brought so much depth to the characters. Truly impressed! The story is epic and keeps you on the edge of your seat while pushing forward characters development and world building. It's full of nostalgia and fantasy with strong and beautiful underlying messages about sacrifice, truth and inner self strength when all hope is lost. It's just geek perfection.

Just finished episode 5. I am speechless. Best show of the year, hands down. A masterpiece. It is so terrifying, beautiful, disturbing, sad and powerful at the same time.

The Crazy Ones (2013–2014)

David E Kelly at his best!
26 September 2013
The pilot was really fast paced, the 20 minutes felt like 5 but I already love all the characters. Definitely Ally Mc Beal 2.0. A bunch of Crazy people with a lot of heart. Can't hardly wait to know them a little bit more and to explore their universe. All the actors have great chemistry together especially Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. James Wolk was a nice revelation and on top of that Kelly Clarkson was hilarious. Yep, this is great TV. The show has so much potential, I hope the writers will meet my expectations. The next episodes should focus a little bit more on the father / daughter relationship. This is where, IMO, The Crazy Ones could stand out of the crowd and became a nice "dramedy".

Ringer (2011–2012)
10/10
TV's most addictive new thriller!
2 February 2012
The first 10 episodes of season 1 were amazing. Ringer is brilliantly mixing different kind of formats. At first you might think it is only a Soapy Drama because of all the shocking twists and turns but quickly you will see the show has a unique touch in the television landscape with a strong visual identity thanks to dark lightings and confined sets. Its Thriller / Film Noir aspect is really compelling, respecting all the different genre codes (a complex lead role with a far from brilliant past, surrounded by strong and important supporting roles dealing with murder, adultery and treason, a fourth-rate cop manipulated by a femme fatale, night scenes, wet sidewalks, over-sized sunglasses, trench-coats, firearms...) It is a great quality, mature series (especially for The CW) with amazing established actors such as Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Grudge, Buffy), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four, King Arthur), Nestor Carbonell (The Dark Knight, Lost), Jaime Murray (The Deaths of Ian Stone, Dexter) and Jason Dohring (Deep Impact, Veronica Mars). I can't hardly wait for the next episodes!
