Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)
Potential & LOL
Where to start for a prequel, there is so much CGI they should have just made it into an "Animation?". I found this somewhat funny and amusing all at the same time, why... well if you know anything about adaptive evolution, then you would know that there physicality would not support their intelligence if you can call it that being represented, would cause them to die-off and not survive! Regardless what they said in previous shows/movies to justify this portrayal awhile the so called apes behave more human than actual humans. They do have a good story-line but after 50 years or so, so they should with great character interaction, oh-wait thats CGI again-right...LOL...? So much potential was lost, it's a shame. The acting award should go to the lead human role?
Sentinel (2024)
Recycled and Potential
I've given this a 6 star, as you can see the passion on wanting to create this movie, as they have used every trick-in-the-book to hide not having a budget including for writers. Using recycled props and improvisations for their technological usages through-out movie, meaning I also started to fast-forward aswell. This has the potential of being a great story if it had a Production company resources and budget! The premise is that Earth has a extreme violent Alien invasion, where some survivors manage to find a time machine to go back to prevent this catastrophe, but as the title suggests something is waiting for them?
Stargate SG-1 (1997)
Manipulaler sci-fi shows, SG-1. etc.
This is a good example of what I call "manipulating the audience" how is by not concluding a story-line in the following episode. In this TV series they still do that, but they also await upto 3 episodes to conclude that particular storyline that you may have even forgotten had happen and that is what they expect from the audience over 30 to 20 years ago, to only let you know by the introduction "what happened previously". They put a lot effort into their series production even to the point of placing actors from the Farscape series to a sure at least a few more seasons would happen allowing 10 years to pass so the creators of SG-1 could bragg about it's duration! Yes I'm a fan of both shows alike most people who like sci-fi to escape one's own reality through this form of entertainment!
Unruly qiao (2011)
38 episodes no substance
Each episode is drawn-out simply to create content, with childish dialogue and interactions with characters also seems they were trying to make a slapstick comedy, I hope so? All a waste of actor's talent, not to mention the efforts to create this show! Some episodes have no context based-on the story-line of which is all-over-the-place on trying to establish character validation to each-other. The customs and cinematographer looked well-done including the acting, however again the show is drawn-out to 38 episodes and that's my point being after 13 shows you will get bored on wanting to get to the point of where the tomboy ends-up?
NOTE: my dialogue review is based-on english interpretation and subtitles hosted on youtube!
Wrecked (2016)
what not to do in a plan crash comedy?
Do the opposite of what you are supposed to do in a plan wreck/crash and call it comedy in this case mockery-comedy where people also do not behave as there said character professions would do in real-life! Despite this good acting and cinematography and props! Noted: in a real crash don't expect to be clothed or even wearing shoes unless your strapped to a seat when you hit the ground as the g-forces and surrounding debris will rip it all off rather that then your actual skin...right and remember likely-hood of you actually surviving is not good if the plan explodes in some-way...Oh-that's my sarcasm for ya....lol?
Resident Evil (2022)
clone ideas and a different mirror
Basically its a clone idea off the original by putting profits before people's lives from a drug to improve people's lives, but again by turning them into the living-dead who want to devour you alive or dead! The Story starts with sister's whose father is the inventor of this living-dead drug whom seems to have no moral-back-bone and continues his work to keep his daughters crimes a secret with one of them bitten but not immediately turning into a corpse-monster...anyways throw-in the troubles digressing to show the adolescence insecurities and immaturity of the past to catch-up with the present to validate the characters. So basically it will come-down to the acting of which is not bad, but they do as usual draw-out the acting and the story-line with-it wanting you to fast forward as they try to hide the lack zombie horror effects with night-time production. I found it somewhat straining with a lack of intelligent dialogue interaction with characters, I could go on and on of what I did not like, but since I'm upto episode 3 I'll update this review later if it gets better as time goes by?
Dead Zone (2022)
Sick-of close-ups and no substance
Actors running-around scaring themselves, you know alike the so-called ghost-hunters on Youtube who then run-away when they see something they don't understand...lol! However no dialogue with vague potential comrade portrayal. The Only things I liked were the paintball body Armour they used with special-effects satellite helmet intel. Combined close-up imagery of the actors to avoid any actual visual content of an apocalypse aftermath in a panoramic-view, the real action does take-place for 47 minutes with a vague appearance of a regenerative monster. The convincing realism I give a 1 out of 10, being unless your Brad Pitt whose presence of acting alone can assure you what you see is dangerous?
The Mist (2017)
no sense without substance
The premise of the story is about the supernatural unknown, in this case moving mist with a cruel random slaughter of death for anyone who enters this mist!
There is no real back-ground story other than an old news paper copy at the library that explains nothing. Meaning there's no course for the characters to follow with no real substance. The original mist story decades ago had somewhat a better understanding of substance that gave the illusion of goals to be reached. In that case the dead became the undead for revenge of a town whose ancestors did them wrong. Which also had a better cinematographic panoramic visual without the in your face close-ups of actors alike so called soapies. The actors were obviously great with veterans in the cast possibly being used as story-line diversions, but this also helped with the confusion of the overall story's meaning?
Office Invasion (2022)
The 3 stooges without a clue
If not for the title and face-card image, you'll not have any idea what this is trying to portray! There is no real context or character validation, no details being disguised as humor. I think some of the actors are much more talented than they are being allowed to show with badly written content especially for character interactions. I bet that the budget was almost none-existent, I assume?
Green Lantern (2011)
Owe-dont hurt me!
The Green Lantern 2011: The the point about how the green lantern works and its origins are fine, but this story had much more potential than was visioned being focused-on the main character created with daddy-issues (from his untimely death) to justify his behavior detracts from the glory of this...while also taming-down the brutality relevant to the drama unfolding including taming-down the characters themselves...means if you are 4 years old ya going to love this, but if you are over 12 years old with good education and a sense of the world we live in even when this was made...its a let-down and quite boringly predictable!
Deadliest Catch (2005)
Oh-look who cares?
Deadliest Catch: whether its season 1 or 16, its all the same. I first watched a couple of episodes for season one and now only 1 episode for season 16. Yeap... still the same... extremely boring for self-created jobs on the high-seas...meaning if they did not fish for giant Grabs...no one would care unless your diet is nothing but sea food! So if you're a inlander then you'll not care at all about this show...as I said unless you are bored...watching and hearing scripted-lines aswell as deliberately created melodrama to give the viewer something to watch! With the usual close-up soapy faces and climatic editing and manipulations by the producers!
Archive (2020)
electronic mechanical resurrection of a person
Archive 2020: SPOIL ALERT. The premise of a love-one dying and not being able or want to live without that individual. In this case a lover, friend partner in life, whose opposite has the knowledge an expertise to create as a AI before creating a complicated textile human type body to live-in. But with this high advanced technologies comes real paranoia from both internal and external threats from a business-stand-point. Also a deliberate non understanding of human emotions by keeping intact emotionally undeveloped android prototypes that cause their own AI may-ham and a movie story-line diversion. What is great id the effort to create this story with a sense of physical-reality with props, CGI, cinematography and acting combined to immerse you into their reality. Nonetheless the melodrama as usual is very drawn-out and at-times wants you to fast-forward. This is not an action film but rather into the dilemma of love gone and the scary morality of electronic and mechanical resurrection of a person!
Cooper's Treasure (2017)
its not mine its yours
SPOILER ALERT...A Hodge bodge of footage taken over a day or 2 edited into one episode giving no time line to what they are doing. Very will organized and thought-out to find what they are looking for in such a short period-of-time. It is only treasure if you get to keep it, of which everything they find is given to the government in power over the shipwreck site, a massive waste of time with no reward....otherwise their paranoia is not giving the viewer enough relevant information to be with-them in this remarkable overall story!?
Billion Dollar Wreck (2016)
Too gentle
Billion Dollar Wreck - Season 1 (Martin Bayerle). "SPOILER ALERT". I started fast forwarding....now at episode 6...all episodes are so drawn-out with back-ground stories of Grant murdering his wife's lover and his conspiracy of why he believes there is billions of dollars on the 1909 sinking by collision of the R.M.S. Republic, and him trying to convince everyone else that's become an obsession. With No real means of planed extraction that is not gentle as he is trying to be respectful of those who died on the now deteriorated shipwreck all those years ago, however with NO diving fatalities is a achievement on its own!
Code 8 (2019)
fatalism
Code 8 (2019). Good old-fashion "fatalism-philosophy" as the back-ground principles of thorty-line. This has such great potential instead of this predictability.
Manifest (2018)
Manifest season-1-2. It is so drawn-out alike a soapy (with face-close-ups) that's why its has 13 episodes, because it takes 2 days for a character to walk through a door or complete a conversation. Good acting, cinematography, character-interactions, location, background-scenes, props, costumes. Dialogue. No real over-whelming background story that can distract the viewer instead they do this boring soapy-close-ups and drawn-out actions and procrastination.
Babylon 5 (1993)
Oh-my god...lol
Babylon 5 series 1994-98. I actually liked this show until it got to its last couple of seasons with some of the main actors starting to use theological banter in declaring there believes were real or absolute and that was what matter rather than telling the story of Babylon 5 whose original story-line was about human and Alien diversity of mutual respect and equality and the adventures these people had on-the-way, but they also made very complicated storyline and with character interaction making it so that if you did not pay attention you'll lose the story-plot with such detail that it also allowed for these actors to take-over a very good sci-fi-opera.
The Decayed (2017)
I no I fell-down.
The decayed 2018. This has nothing, no cinematography, no dialoque, no acting...a bunch of people running-around screaming, shooting and falling-over...the only groaming I liked was there bob-marley hair-does...
Alien Reign of Man (2017)
I liked the CGI
Alien Reign of Man 2017, has great potential. However, the costumes look-like foam been glued together with motor-cycle gear as body-armour with old military or police uniforms modified. Dialogue all-over-the-place, no convincing character or story-line validations, CGI was the only special-effects I liked not enough input from other's for props and character interaction inside there fantasy-world ...way to obvious? Actors require training at all aspects of the art, awhile using face close-ups for the lack of locations and back-ground scenery!
Vtorzhenie (2020)
oops I slipped...
INVASION 2 2020 (spoiler-alert)...from Russia, pretty-much story-line is from the first movie, Focusing-on the tech capabilities rather than any real physical alien creature invasion, making it predictable as they draw-insperation from this first movie instead of them using there imaginations and taking it a step-further! Everything else was good and if you are a sci-fi fan you may not care, but if you are like me...ya like to see some effort and some Alien beef-on!
Gags The Clown (2018)
where's the smog...lol
Gags The Clown 2018. Supposed to be suspense... you know...what you don't see.... scares you (imagination), but ya need extremely good acting for that to work, though if they had more smog slash fog and some creepy back-ground music to distract the viewer then maybe more convincing... lol... however cinematography was good... and clown-suits were good...
Legends of Tomorrow (2016)
Infinite-loop of complicity
DC's Legends of Tomorrow. After season 5> Another show written for bored children who are stereotyped as having the mind of a 3 year old rather than 10 of age. With the usual extremely drawn-out melodrama scenes while using vocabularies as a means of intelligence rather than understanding. Awhile actor characters behaving the opposite to who they are if they were real. As people have set-behaviors that do not change without having a psychotic-episode of self-honesty. The acting is good, though some talents are also obviously bored to what they are limited-too. This had such great potential, even the fighting scenes look sloppy who need to get a little more closer to show better control of their moves! The Story-line is trying to appear random because of time-travel though an interpretation to what they think they know. Its quite-clear that participating actors are contributing the to the writing of there roles, please don't.
The Boys (2019)
I don't care about you!!!
The Boys 2019: Super douchebags in latex...with gangster behavior as a foundation for there motives...Please kill this show as the superdouches kill everyone else as its the super show that give franchise superheroes a bad name...If you want to see the best bits in this show you'll better-off fast forwarding each episode!
Ash vs Evil Dead: Apparently Dead (2018)
Bloody hell....lol
The original horror-opera of cheesy humour based-on gender-types or society-cultural and sexism stereotypes...After 5 episodes predictability means boring...but after 3 seasons cancelled...so drawn-out horror-opera...lol...lol...I loved-it...huh...huh...glad that's not me!
Dark Matter (2015)
Look at me I'm in a sci-fi series?
The usual society rebellious character displacement to try be in the future by behaving outside the social and society moral-norms whether right or wrong and in this extent is the actors interpretation portrayal of there characters, of which is obvious by season 1. Not to mention the standard characters to make assumptions of people and events without circumstantial evidence, makes the story-line predictable. When people want to be in control they see and hear what they want too! Better realism and c.g.i. with with more infusion of where they were suppose to be in this fantasy would helped with the viewer's boredom, but still strapped in the soapy close-ups and dialogue with the usual drawn-out scenes...I were fan of this show another one with great potential...Could I improve on it ...mmmm-I don't have the trained-expertise! Remember that dialogue punctuation and general-punctuation are not the same, being dialogues are expressing emotions and or fears with in there case physical reactions! Spell check was used here!
