Primal: Echoes of Eternity (2022)
A way to send off our Favorite Neanderthal
Still a fantastic episode. Not really sure what people expected Fang and Spear to do against the fire giant. Who was a formidable foe over anything they went against. Considerably. Did we expect some long drawn out battle? I didn't how. How would that even happen? They are just flesh and bone. Its a quick battle no matter how you slice it. We got Mira and Spear back story. FINALLY!! I did appreciate the little shot of Fangs face as she saw the fire snake. Still suffering from the PTSD sustained in the first season.
Even with this weaker final this season was all around great. RIP Spear! Hope you are reunited with your past family. Where ever they are.
Primal: The Primal Theory (2022)
Different but still excellent!
I know most will be upset about the change happening in this single episode. And that's fine. In fact humans hate change in their life to begin with.
That being said this is still some of the best storytelling and production you could get out of a show. In 5-10 years when new fans watch this. They will call it a masterpiece. Sadly we are the victims of our own impatience. Give it a second watch fans!!
Prey (2022)
Think this would of been much better in a theater.
Well what most feared happened. A women somehow managed to 1v1 an elite predator. I was excited initially. Then it became silly,
Yes many Native American tribes had strong women. Acting as clan mother etc. Having crucial parts in their tribe. That being said even this was a pretty long shot. Comanche were nomads that followed bison. Their true food and trade source. Not much time to be warriors. They formed alliances and worked well with other tribes. More so in this timeline.
While yes they were skilled riders. Would it kill to show some Native history the pre dates the introduction of the European horse? Tribes like the Comanche were marathon runners. Running down Bison to the point of exhaustion or off cliffs. A hunting technique still used with African tribes.
All in all the Predator itself was well done. The rest of the plot. Generic and predictable.
Dune (2021)
Thank you for this modern take
Dune 2021 is what we need more in film today. A respectable take on a former media. Director presents his version on a cult loved film. And man what a job he did. I love the first Dune movie. Dune 2022 blew my expectations away. And I hope it generated so many new fans. And happy for the film as it takes home some Oscar's. Much. Deserved.
Santa Inc. (2021)
The day comedy died
One of the worst tv shows ever to hit the small screen. Is this what media has come to? Wonder who gave the green light on this joke of a project. Terrible, terrible, terrible show. And thank god people are not lapping this one up.
Gunpowder Milkshake (2021)
Gave it a shot
Wasn't for me. Maybe you will enjoy it. Not sure why we had music in every action scene. Guessing the director didn't like this sound effects he used?
Oh well 4/10. Decent acting just not much too work with.
Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
You got it
Everything from anime to Evil Morty. One of the best episodes of the series. Enjoy it.
Alien (1979)
Alien still remains one of the best in the genre
While some parts have not aged that well. Like the full grown Alien costume. Its still damn near perfect. One of my favorite atmospheres in a movie. Example were some of the crew leaves to respond to the transmitter. You hear the rush of the wind and rock flying past them. While Ashe hangs out in the cockpit monitoring. Is eerily silent.
John Carpenters "The Thing" and Alien are still to this day my favorite science fiction horror films. And If you put a gun to my head I still wouldn't be able to choose.
Rick and Morty: Rick & Morty's Thanksploitation Spectacular (2021)
Jaded RnM fans chill out
I think everyone forgot the premise of this show in its entirety. Last night episode was a full display of how ridiculous this show can be. And it was wonderful.
The writing is still good. The characters are still good. Enjoy the show for once. You will get your Evil Morty fix.
Army of the Dead (2021)
How can anyone give this more and a 5?
A 2.5 hour movie that seemed to be missing major key elements. I love most zombie films just this wasn't it. Seemed to be two directions Zach wanted to take this film. Characters were all carbon cutout copies from other heist/shooter up films. Only interesting story was the zombie hierarchy. We only got a few minutes of that unfortunately.
See it for free if you can.
Rick and Morty: Never Ricking Morty (2020)
Soft fans
This was exactly what RnM is all about. Stop whining.
