Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
I really like it
I wasn't really paying a lot of attention to the plot I guess, but the fights were epic and the team up was unexpected, I'm not really into that kind of realm, but I was quite impressed.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Yeah it was okay
I haven't played the game or anything, but I thought the movie was okay, but not amazing. Then again, everyone has different opinions.
The combat was alright, though I was hoping for more, and the gore and all that, I thought considering the rating, that there would be more to it.
There was one particular character, Kano, who brought the humor into the movie, and I felt that he was the best character in it.
So, I'm saying it's okay, but I was a little disappointed, it was a bit of a let down.
Beastars (2019)
Jesus Christ!
I was flicking through Netflix because I was bored and I spotted this, of course i was hesitant at first, but I decided to give Beastars a chance and I'm glad I did. Sure it reminded me of Zootopia, but this was still different and fantastic in it's own way and pretty freaking funny in some parts. I just love how they don't always put together certain animals with their own species, it's very well done, Obviously just got into it, so gonna watch some more!!!
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
A Real Disappointment
I started getting back into Star Wars when this trilogy came out and I loved the first one (TFA), the second one was ok (TLJ), but I'm rather disappointed with this one, I feel that they've ruined the ending of this saga, which is rather upsetting to see, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver will forever be amazing in my eyes, the kiss was to die for (even though it was supposedly not meant to be romantic), but the outcome afterwards was horrible (to me that is). They overdid the nostalgia of the movie and I felt that it was a little awkward (I can't actually say why, it just was).
The Lion King (2019)
Is Good But....
The most beautiful thing about the remake is that it looks more realistic, the graphics are amazing, but the movie was a bit of a flop, I tried to get keep an open mind, but it was very very hard. Though the graphics were good, the emotions were not there. The voices were a little bit of a downfall because they weren't as emphasised which is rather confusing.
The question was, how can you reenact an animation realistically?? The answer is, you can't, which put brought the movie down.
Unfortunately, the song "Be Prepared" was completely ruined for me as it was one of my favourite songs in the movie itself.
What the hell happened to Rafiki?????????
They moved too fast through the scenes, it was really hard not to get up and leave.
Overall the movie could have been a lot better but it was rather a wasted opportunity.
I am very disappointed about this.
One Small Step (2018)
Beautiful Short
This made me cry as it was so beautifully made and directed, the music was absolutely beautiful, this is the reason why I love watching short animations.
It shows the love between the father and daughter will be just as strong as it is between a mother and daughter, as most films that I see, there always seems to be a problem between the daughter and father, which isn't overly true when you think of it realistically.
Zootopia (2016)
One of The Best Disney's I've Watched
The story is so well laid out it made me fall in love with Disney again!! I'm loving the different characters and the vast majority of different personalities with all the characters, it's one I would never have thought would be ever made, and it's so well done!
Aquaman (2018)
A Decent Movie
Honestly, if someone had a go about about the CGI in the movie, you could smack them over the head, yeah like in reality you can speak and breathe underwater, it's a decent movie, though rather long... My friend ended up sleeping through some of the fight scenes, but It was overall good, better than Justice League (sorry to those fans out there, but it was genuinely bad), they still kept the jokes and funny scenes at bay as well. The effects were great, though Heard didn't convince me in some of her scenes, which was a shame.
A good watch, I recommend the movie!
The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)
Good Family Film
I ended up seeing this with my mother, and honestly, it's a decent family film, the detail was great and it's rather different, always loved Jack Black and Cate Blanchett, so there wasn't any acting trouble at all. If a group of adults came and watched it, I'd assume they would say its a waste of time, which is fine, but it's really for kids.
The Girl on the Train (2016)
Rather Frustrating
I don't know if some of you feel the same way, but I found that the main character became rather annoying, and I have a feeling that I've missed a certain part of the movie, like when she's been fed all these horrible 'supposed' memories because she's been drinking, by her ex. Thats where I'm like, "so did he drug her?" Every flashback she looks wasted, and I don't particulary know why.
Emily Blunt is a great actress, but I feel that this was a bit of downfall for her, I was too frustrated to even properly watch the movie, every second she was always wasted, which was really annoying and rather confusing in most of the scenes. I mean the very last scene was the only scene where she's actually sober. But hey, we've all got our opinions, and then I know she's drinking because she can't get over the fact that she can't have kids and her husband broke up with her and married the mistress, who in return could create a baby, in which Rachel so desperetly wanted.
Could have been done a lot better, didn't really like and a little disapointed.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Very Good
I went to new Zealand for a holiday and I decided to to go to Hobbiton and I have to admit, after going through it, I was pretty hooked onto the story, I even posted a letter from the set, which was cool.
Though I did read the book, and I did get a little bored reading it, and I really wasn't looking forward to the movies after that, but I then realized that most of the time, the movie would be different, and it all depends on the viewers and readers, to see which would be better, movie of book. I have to admit, the movie was very good, a lot better than the book, because it dragged on, but I loved it. I've got the three movies at the moment, and I'm working on getting The Hobbit Series, I've watched all of them and they are amazing!
The Lovely Bones (2009)
Different
I liked that it was different, that the main character doesn't get away from the killer, and yet you are made to think that, because that's what the main character and what the viewers wished, it's interesting and very sad, also skillful and so much emotion, I loved the movie, and I'm hoping to read the book soon when I have more time.
Alien: Covenant (2017)
Honestly Could've Been Better
I mean, I was shook when I realized that it was related to Prometheus, yeah, great, but after that, I didn't really get the feel of it, sure the start of it was intense with the gore, but it's not what I thought it would be. So I wonder how The Predator is going to be.
The Shape of Water (2017)
I Honestly Didn't Mind It.
My mother and I have been wanting to see this movie, and I have to say, it was pretty good, I mean, my mother hadn't expected it to go the way it did, then again, I don't really know how else she would have depicted it to be. It was a little far-fetched with the sex scene between the main character and the creature, but hey, it's not a true story, so those cases have rested. Loved it, and a must watch.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
It was good :)
Okay, honestly, I think some of the reviews before hand that are around 1 - 2 stars are a little over dramatic, but I found The Last Jedi quite good, this is where there's a tide between all of us reviewers, you're going to get some good ones and some bad ones.
It was a good watch, and the acting isn't weak, if you wanna see weak acting, watch A Wrinkle In Time.
I feel in love with Star Wars when The Force Awakens came out, before I was not interested, so it's doing pretty well if it's able to capture my attention after so many years.
Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
A good film, I Recommend, But You Decide If You Want To Watch It.
I find it a little hard to actually ask for reviews, because literally no has the same view on movies, which is a kind of waste of time, some people say it's good, some say otherwise.
I really did enjoy this movie, it actually opened my eyes on the Asian backgrounds and about business and personal lives. It's rather interesting and put aside at how the older generation want the younger generation to keep going with a certain ritual.
So lets say I was educated through the whole lot, and it wasn't boring, but hey, at least I could see what the wealthy had access to in life.
It's changed my goal, I don't want to be crazy rich, maybe rich enough to afford needs in life.
A good film.
Brave (2012)
Very good.
We all have different opinions, I really loved this movie, the moral was great, and the concept was amazing, I've watched it so many times to the point that I knew nearly all the lines. It definitely looks away from what we would usually see.
Ocean's Eight (2018)
What I think.
It was alright, there were scenes that made me laugh and I enjoyed watching the movie.
A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Disappointing
A big disappointment considering the hype that was "magically" floating around it. Oprah, Reece and Mindy were always amazing, but the younger actors, unfortunately made the scenes rather cringe worthy and they were as convincing as a cactus in a forest, to the point that even someone who doesn't have directing experience can really tell that they were not suited for the part.
Graphically it was amazing, but to be honest, not a great movie.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)
What I think.
Seeing that I'm more of a Harry Potter fan, after seeing this movie, I feel drawn to it, the actors (new actors) that were chosen were perfect, and I especially love Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver (Rey & Kylo).
This movie was rather interesting graphically, and certain scenes would leave me on the edge of my seat. It's rather riveting.
