Dirty Deeds (2005)
1/10
Grade A Horse ****
26 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Save yourself the 2 hours (or however long it was, too long in my opinion) and watch something better than this trash. Dirty Deeds is called an "American Pie like comedy" but comes absolutely NOWHERE NEAR CLOSE to American Pie.

A bunch of high school seniors come together as one brave senior attempts to complete every "dirty deed" as per tradition requests. Some of which include ejaculating into bread, stealing a car (OMG these kids are bad to the bone), and finding the only other grad to complete the deeds. The film is revolved around this plot, and many, MANY unnecessary sub-plots which it could have easily gone without.

First off, the sub-plots are completely unnecessary and add absolutely nothing to the story. One of which involves a freshman wanting to get with an attractive senior girl, but fails, then (go figure) gets with her! Sweet lord I didn't think it would happen! No no no, in Dirty Deeds, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! EVEN STEALING A CAR WORTH MORE THAN $100,000 AND HAVING THE GUY WHO ACTUALLY OWNS IT NOT CARE THAT THE KID STOLE IT! The acting was horrible. Through another sub-plot we watch Zach try to get with Meg, and she keeps pushing him away because she wants to protect her brother who she thinks Zach is turning into a bad kid. Then at the end, we see Meg actually has feelings for Zach, WHAT A SURPRISE. Cliché love sub-plot in a teen "comedy"? Oh, you better believe it! What a joke. What a joke of a movie. I sat through this and couldn't wait for it to be over, I'd rather watch paint dry or snow melt. Anything is more entertaining than this garbage.

0/10. I wish IMDb had a lower rating system.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen.
28 July 2010
Normally I'm a pretty lite critic, I know what to expect when going into a family film or any other kind of genre. Going into this movie, I was expecting a typical film to supplement fans of an original TV series, I knew it wasn't going to be a mind-blowing film, but I didn't expect first class garbage.

The acting was at its worst, supplying young actor Noah Ringer as Aang, the lead character. This kid can't act to save his life, his voice was just annoying throughout the movie and didn't have the emotion needed to capture the role. The other actors (mainly new, unheard of) weren't much better.

The storyline was boring to me, I didn't get sucked into the whole "4 nations at war" thing. Clearly M. Night wasn't doing a good job at all to make an appealing movie.

The ONLY thing worth the 1 cent that even I wouldn't pay to see this film again if I had the chance, is the special effects. And even they weren't impressive. I had seen fire effects exactly like the ones in this film many times before, as I have with the wind and water effects. The effects used to pick up pieces of rock and earth were pretty good, but far too limited as you get further into the movie.

OVERALL, I give this film the 1/10 that it deserves. Easily the worst movie I've seen in years, and one of the worst movies I've seen in my life. I would have rather thrown my money into a wishing well than gone to that movie, in fact, just watching some coins fall into a well is more entertaining than this movie.

Good film! Definitely underrated.
17 October 2009
Originally I was a little skeptical before seeing this film based on the reviews, but man was I wrong. It actually ended up being a very good film with a surprisingly fitting ending. The acting was very good, the digital effects were good, the action sequences were great, and the overall storyline got me hooked. Like others, I definitely was reminded of Disturbia while watching this film. Most story elements seemed to be taken from Disturbia, which is why I gave it a lower rating than I sounded like I would have given it.

Overall this was a very good film! I definitely recommend seeing it if you like horror/action films. Nice job with this film!
