Blue Beetle (2023)
Out when sis took a dump
Poop humor, I always think about how Eddie Murphy said as a young comedian you talk about what you know until you know more. He told poop jokes. This movie needed a lot longer time in the oven, ugly effects, ugly cast, most latinos I know don't talk like this, telling poop jokes... Never have I watched such a poorly cast superhero production(I think The Marvels will be a close second). Nothing and I mean nothing of circumstance actually happens and it's as predictable as I am on the toilet every morning as long as I take my fiber supplements. I'd rather watch Black Adam again on the toilet with bad diarrhea. Should have been streaming only as it's a steaming pile...
Don't Look Up (2021)
Tracey Gold Cameo
Anyone else catch the Tracey Gold cameo? I can't find any mention of it online. It was a commercial with Leo and she was a Mom.
I thought the movie was alright. Couple chuckles, good acting, somewhat believable outcome. Wouldn't watch again.
Self/less (2015)
Gosh this sucked
A constant suggestion, I finally gave in. Regrettably did, it was terrible and obviously filmed while Reynolds wasn't Deadpool or anything really. Yes, this review contains spoilers. Dont watch. What happened to Tarsem?
Booksmart (2019)
Participation Ribbon
It's like the movie version of an award for participating. Everyone is too cool for school(pun intended) and life way too easy for everyone depicted. I just wanted a bully to show up and start kicking everyone's a**. Only fun moments include Billie Lourd or when the girls interact with an adult. Inflated stereotypes and unrealistic relationships abound. "Edge Of Seventeen" is a far better representation of HS life. Subparbad this is. Do not let your teens watch this without an explanation afterwards on how this in no way represents the real world.
Coherence (2013)
Indie Art House Rick and Morty
I enjoyed the film for the most part. Shaky Cam not so much. The actors are mostly believable. Sketchy conversation likely due to the improvised script and This Ain't Spinal Tap. Drama unlike comedy needs to reign in the actors focus with a script(actors aren't really just like us). Rick and Morty handle this "idea" in a much more "Coherent" and logical way. Unfortunately, the ending left a lot to be desired and the last 15 minutes-ish, brought up much more interesting ideas, conflicts and possibilities that would have made the story quite good if explored(better than the white people problems the 2 acts force you to sit through). Instead you're left with questionable motives, actions and possibilities without explanation and a quick wrap up. Makes you think though, not too hard to grasp and you could watch something much worse on a Sunday morning.
Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle (2016)
Get rid of "The Wave"
Those dorks ruin the show. Most comedians won't do the show because of them. Make it stop Jeff.
