No Hard Feelings (2023)
Ouch!
To begin with, the only reason that this steaming lump of turd got a "2" was because of the beach scene with Jennifer Lawrence.
That said, once this piece of trash was over, I felt like I needed to apologize to my brain for subjecting it to this kind of crap. (I actually felt dumber after watching.). The plot was stupid, the script was puerile, the acting was phoned in, and the direction was clueless. Nothing worked. It had no saving grace. Can I please have those two hours back?
The big question is why /how Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence could agree to have anything to do with this profane-laced bomb. Or Mathew Broderick. What was Bueller thinking?
Is this what we get with the writers and actors on strike?
Persuasion (2022)
A Steaming Lump of Turd
Thank goodness that Jane Austen is already dead; this piece of crap would certainly done her in if she was still around. Nothing! Not the acting; not the casting; not the story; not the script had any sense of even attempting to capture the essence of Jane Austen. Shame on Netflix for foisting this bile on us.
Operation Christmas (2016)
The story was a 10; the attention to detail was a 0
It was a great story that accurately captured the apprehension and stress that military families face, something that non-military families will never understand nor completely appreciate. Hats off to the writer and to Hallmark for presenting this in such a compelling manner.
That said, it was downright insulting to see the total lack of attention paid to the actual details of any and all things military. The total ignorance of anything related to military uniforms, in particular, was beyond irritating and took away from an otherwise heartwarming story. Shame on everyone involved.
