Restraining Order (2006)
Phil Was A Gem
Phil Ursino was very authentic. I can not believe he has not done more rolls! Phil... go get casted!!! I can see Ursino as a boss in some mafia movie. Robyn Givens gave what she could with the script. She has done much better work. This movie actually works on some levels, and misses with a diluted ending. Thus I rated it a 6. See it for the fat guy Phil!I never intended on seeing this flick, but a friend had the DVD and we gave it a look. If you are a wanna be talent scout like me and my buddies, see it for the fat guy Phil. He delivers! Short and sweet. We see him getting gunned down on a Soprono style show. Grab your gal or guy buy some munchies, and get ready for a movie that went to DVD but should have had a run in the theaters. Ciao.
Battle Dome: Episode #1.1 (1999)
De Luca showed massive heart
If you were able to see this episode of a show that was one of the real first stabs at reality based contestants under stress you would recognize this as Generation One! For that distinction alone this show gets a 10. Nevermind the fact that contestants like Mike De Luca separated his shoulder in his first event and he still had the courage and conviction to end what he started. For money? Hardly. For fame? It was the first episode of the first show of its kind. No, they all did it because they had heart! This show most importantly, this first episode, deserves a place in the reality TV hall of fame. Is it super quality? Nope. Is it gritty and raw? You bet. Get a copy, and crank up the volume. Those screams of pain and victory are real!
