Castle: Tick, Tick, Tick... (2010)
Great episode! easily a favourite 2 parter!
This is easily one of my favourite 2 parter episodes of Castle. the dynamics between Beckett and Castle and Shaw are priceless and fantastically acted out. it also contains one of my favourite scenes in the entire run of the show, when Rick very righteously spends the night at Beckett's place to protect her.. (with his vast arsenal of rapier wit).. and the events the following morning involving Agent Shaw and the Hardy Boys (Esposito and Ryan) grilling Castle and Beckett about them spending the night at her place while having to investigate a sudden dead body at her door. worth every penny! as a side note, a curious point came up as I watched this episode... if the bullets used in the murders where hand etched on their back ends. it would seem reasonable to assume that the killer was hand loading his bullets. one point would be that if he was hand loading his bullets and was careless enough to not use gloves as he did so, I'm sure they could pull a partial print off of the bullets and match them in Shaw's magical collating database... the other side would be that if the killer was hand loading his bullets, he would have to purchase the bullets, powder, and casings from somewhere... probably not a whole lot of bullet reloading stores in NYC... run them through to see if any of them sold the matching bullets (ballistics would be a dead giveaway) and find out who bought them... pretty strong lead! but would also lead to a much shorter episode.. just some musings. all in all... love this episode and the one that follows!
