The Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness (2021)
Worth watching
It's worth watching but you must watch the entire series. All four episodes. Why? Because the fourth episode puts everything in context and does a nice wrap up that brings everything together to make sense.
The middle two episodes go down the rabbit holes of conspiracy theories pretty heavy. I think some of it was conspiracy, but my thinking is some of it was peer pressure. Some of it was copy cat and some of it crimes of opportunity, some of it was people getting their kicks by committing a heinous crime.
The series was entertaining and very informative. Everyone who watches the series will feel differently about it. It wasn't phenomenal but it was definitely worth watching.
A Simple Plan (1998)
Reminds me so much of Fargo
This was very entertaining to me. I rated it 9 instead of 10 because of too many unrealistic scenes. If a guy gets shot point blank with a shotgun it about cuts him in half. In the movie he just slumps to the ground.
I would have figured a way to launder the money. Do a little here and a little there. Or if I was brave enough, make a deal with a drug kingpin somehow.
Good flick!
Capital in the Twenty-First Century (2019)
Very well done financial history lesson
I loved this great financial history lesson. I knew bits and pieces of how all this happened but this documentary really turned on the lights of the way it was. The way it is trending now and that it will complete the circle and we end up in the aristocracy loop similar to how we were in the 16th -17th centuries.
Homeland: Paean to the People (2018)
The show needs more excitement
For years it was back to back excitement and drama, but now it seems to just throw anything in the story to fill up the hour.
I am hoping it gets better. This was my favorite show but now I am getting worried it might crash and burn.
