Chaos Walking (2021)
Better than expected!
I walked in predicting I would hate this film. With reshoots, delays, the lead (Tom Holland) barely mentioning the film and (at least in my country) zero marketing for it, everything told me this would be a flop. Although this film would have been a lot more successful being released closer to the Hunger Games and Maze Runner era I do think this is worth a watch if you're into that style of movie. I loved the idea (I'm so glad they did reshoots, the original plot sounded awful) I loved the way they did the "Noise" it reminded me of the way they did Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp. It was funnier than I was expecting and I loved the cringey, hard to watch, extremely relatable, awkward scenes between Holland and Ridley.
Overall I don't know whether I like this film more because I had very low expectations going in, or because this was my first time in the cinemas since Invisible Man but I am honestly surprised at how much I really enjoyed this charming film and I will be going to the cinemas to rewatch it real soon!
Really hope they don't make a sequel though! Once again I'll compare to Hunger Games and Maze Runner, you don't need to sequel everything.
My expectations are even lower for Cherry so let's hope that also proves me wrong!
Dolittle (2020)
It's a kids movie but I enjoyed it!
I saw Dolittle a couple days ago, I walked in worried because I knew I would be brutally honest if I didn't like it. But I really enjoyed it! There were some pacing issues and they over did it with the "we are gonna die, no we aren't" stuff but really it was great.
The cinema was partially packed which I was surprised about because I heard it was flopping. The kids were laughing at the scenes I didn't laugh at and I was laughing in other scenes so it was pretty well rounded enjoyment-wise. Actually started crying in one of the scenes which I wasn't expecting.
The film was beautiful, it looked amazing, but I feel like they didn't need all the star power they had, that would have been a big sinkhole for the budget because most of the animals only had a couple lines and even though I knew of all the voice actors in advance, watching the film I completely forgot they weren't just anyone voicing them, other than Tom Holland and Emma Thompson I don't think you needed stars to voice act.
The promotion for this film has been incredible, and I'm going to give this a 10/10 because IT'S A KIDS MOVIES AIMED AT KIDS but I still enjoyed it. People judging this movie seem to have forgotten that.
It's so unfortunate when an actor can't try new things because it's viewed as "beneath them" damn just let him have fun because I certainly did!
PewDiePie (2010)
Wish I didn't pre-judge this guy
I only just started watching his videos around November, and haven't missed a day since.
There is a lot of misinformation out there so I didn't want to watch someone who was like that. Honestly you don't have to watch much of his content to see it's all lies.
Wish I gave him a chance earlier!
10/10 thanks for the entertainment!
The Apartment (2012)
Trying to be House Rules
What an awful show, I get a couple minutes in, the intro is as sexist as it could get, revolting, this is a show about renovating? I know Americans won't tune in unless the woman are half naked but geez there are limits! Let's get onto the contestants. A lady that works in fashion, a model, Miss Indonesia and the runner up to Miss Indonesia. You aren't trying to hide anything are you? All the contestants were just stereotypes, geezus had to turn this trash off 😂 I wanna see real people who are struggling in life to be on shows like this, people who actually need it.
