I tried, I really did...
28 October 2022
Ok, I looked past the now typical woke/political preaching, but the script and acting was just so flat. But, I gave it a shot.

Decent premise with zero execution.

I watch series to tap out from politics. If I want to hear about it, I'll watch the news.

Anne, what were you thinking when you read that High School script?

Sci-Fi can use any location. It doesn't have to always be in some spaceship or alien world, but at least have some depth to carry the story if you don't involve the standard alien/space CGI.

Netflix is loosing ground to Apple, Amazon and even Peacock?

I wonder if the best talent is over Netflix and has know moved on...

It's watchable. But the feel is definitely lacking.
22 August 2022
Somewhat predictable storylines. Can see what's coming miles away.

Definitely lacking in production quality. Doesn't have the natural feel of realism.

Cinematography is flat, CGI is good, but not to the GOT standards. It just feels cheaper?

Acting is fine, but it feels very rushed in the storytelling. Lacking character depth.

The original took many episodes to build the character backgrounds and nurture them. Now it's like "Let's hit the audience in the face with everything and get it out of the way."

I'll record it and watch at leisure, unlike watching the original live aired.

I'd give it a higher rating but for the obnoxious brother character.
10 August 2022
Great mindless entertainment. Good concept, decent execution but the brother character forces me to fast forward.

Has the typical on/off romance storyline.

Has the typical mysterious billionaire.

Has the typical aw shucks lead.

Not bad, but they could have cut the brother after season 1 and made him an occasional cameo and the show would have been better.

Started strong then glacially s l o w.
26 July 2022
Had high hopes, but 65% is overdrawn dialogue and reaction shots. We get the point, they're scared/concerned/angry. No need for the oversell. Episode 1-2 showed promise, but it seems they didn't discard any edits to help string the series out.

They should play this to insomniacs that don't respond to standard medication.

Don't let the title fool you.
18 July 2022
Was Reagan perfect? Far from it. But this Left hit piece paints him as a corporate shill/racist in every interview.

Gee, who granted amnesty to illegal aliens? Gee, didn't black income rise during his administration? Gee, didn't black/Hispanic home ownership rise over his terms?

As is atypical to Left views, if you're not a far left socialist, you're a racist.

Least favorite of the Craig series

Just did not feel like a Bond movie.

Flat writing, characters. Lacked the typical feel of a Bond production. Main villain was overdone and seen before... Mainly, just awful direction.

Had brief moments of entertainment. Sick of Kia tie in ads though
8 February 2022
Just like The Finder, ends on a cliffhanger.

Obnoxious tie ins for Kia, felt like a car commercial several episodes.

On again/off again relationship was tiring.

Wasted opportunity...
13 January 2022
Expected so much more.

Every stereotype represented.

Slow, melodramatic & cookie cutter effort.

If it weren't for Sam, I wouldn't have bothered.

Only thing saving it beyond Sam is the set design & cinematography.....

Great entertaining film about the awful grittiness of war.
5 January 2022
Great film. Of course it had storylines to tug at the heartstrings, it's a MOVIE.

Love these wannabe arm chair film students that criticize non Russian/German actors playing roles. That's because they were the best actors for the gig and lend their names to the production.

Also, people complaining about the "historical accuracy", it's a movie for entertainment not a documentary people......

This is an awesome movie!

The cast nails it!

Outstanding cinematography and action.

How do I know? Because 30 people reviewed it while watching on Netflix and it hasn't even come out yet.... 11/12 release...

Oh Apple, I had such hope....
28 October 2021
I was so looking forward to perhaps a somewhat "realistic" attempt at the genre. What I got in return was HOURS of character development, a story glacial in its storytelling and finally a cure for my insomnia.

This whole series could be done in less than 30 minutes on Dust....

Sam, what were you thinking?

Why the title? ZERO to do with book.
10 September 2021
Don't waste your time if you're a Clancy fan. Generic fare that is predictable & flat. Why use the title? Simple. Film wouldn't be able to stand on its own, so try to sucker Clancy fans.

A MUST SEE!!! (If you need IQ points drained off)
22 July 2021
What can be said? Idiotic script with action for no reason.

This movie is a total affront to mad Max and Road Warrior.

They easily could've made this movie and called it any apocalyptic name and it would've made just as much sense. Have no clue why they wanted to do a Mad Max version of this. I literally had to put toothpicks in my eyes to stay awake for this movie.

Massive budget does not necessarily mean a good movie. I just can't get over how bad the characters are and how awful the script is. They should play this movie to insomniacs they don't respond well to medication.

The mere fact of this movie has so I could reviews from the masses just reinforces my view that society has degraded to such a point that we are truly doomed! This celluloid gem actually made Thunderdome looks like an Oscar winner.

How the mighty have fallen. Stick a fork in it....
2 June 2021
Like everyone says "used to be a good show".

Now it's five minutes worth of sob and backstory for a mediocre act that normally wouldn't make it through. "Oh woe is me I had a painful childhood" a little I cry and I'll get the golden buzzer. It used to be about talent, now it's a soap opera. Simon is just milking this cash cow for all it's worth. To ask for every commercial break, are you kidding me? Whatever happened to you slamming auditions through one by one by one, even the bad ones lol.

How the mighty have fallen.

Russell should fire his agent for letting him do this B movie "thriller".

He tried to do the best he could with the mess he was given, I suppose.

Heck, I wanted her killed off early on, just for her sheer stupidity!

Crowe must have owed the Producers a favor and they called him on it.

What was a decent (8 star) show went all PC and woke. Such a shame. This will be it's last season.

What happened?????
17 January 2021
Season 1, awesome. Great characters, great acting and an ok storyline that was saved by the cast. Season 2, really? Writing flat, zero chemistry and just boring.

I can look past the PC lines and storylines crammed down our throats (it's the new norm), but seriously the show has become so flat.

Just so sad and disappointed. Been waiting for season 2 and now have to seek alternatives.

How can a show fall off so quickly?

Over hyped and weak story. So syrupy sweet, it caused tooth decay....
3 January 2021
Ok, big deal. It's the eighties. That novelty wears out in 15 minutes or less. Extremely weak premise. B movie storyline. EVERY scene 30% too long in length. What, did the editors get paid by the minute? Obviously not enough was left on the editing floor. Absolutely wrong choice for villain. Just plain irritating and one dimensional. Diana's "rival" was decent choice, but unfortunately saddled with abysmal script and treated as filler. Preachy, syrupy and boring.

Hell, I went into the kitchen, made a grilled cheese, grabbed a beer and missed nothing.

Had high hopes for the DC Universe. Even the later weak Marvel films looked like Oscar contenders compared to the last few DC installments.

Nickelodeon humor with names that needed an easy paycheck. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Predictable, flat and forgettable. Would have been better with unknown actors........

Could have been so much more.

I'm not going to do any PhD analysis here. Story: Wasted opportunity. Had possibilities that were squandered.

Effects: Meh....Some great, others USA Network.

Acting: 40% was decent. Yes, you wanted the kids to get knocked off. Too over the top. Reminded me of that screaming brat in Cruise's War of the Worlds.

Sad, for it had a decent premise that should have been pitched to a better Producer.

One time barely watch.....

Ok storyline. Great special effects (as usual). Hammer (Rockwell) is just too annoying. I know, he's supposed to be, but it's just too much. Always loved Mickey, but wrong choice....

Chuck Lorre, how ye has fallen.....
27 November 2020
Absolutely flat, contrived and lazy writing.

Did Chucko hire his pool man's step brother as a writer?

What is truly disturbing, is that the execs at CBS let this train wreck air.....

Zero investment in characters, over the top strained acting and typical Lorre liberal political humor instead of playing to the middle.

I'm used to the political stance (even as an independent, it bothers me), but now it's just a little too blatant.

Had a minuscule chance at the premise, but squandered it. Chucky, I guess your Big Bang, 2-1/2 Men, Mom days are in the rear view mirror....

Time to retire and enjoy your pool. The pool man owes you some free labor......

Almost there, but not quite....
15 November 2020
Ok, the Far Right will find fault with the humanization and characterization of God. The Far Left will rejoice in the mockery of a deity. As a Catholic I found the middle....

The premise was there. Original and full of potential.

However, the film doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it supposed to be an art house, surreal, cinematic acid trip or is it supposed to portray existence in a different and dark light? Unfortunately, it gets lost in the middle and doesn't score on either genre. Just got the feeling the director was unprepared or too inexperienced for this subject matter.

Just tried to do too much.

However, I certainly could see a US version starring Bill Murray! Just a bit of rewrite and portray the message a little different.....

9 November 2020
Considering the cast, I really expected more. There's over the top characters you enjoy (Hot Fuzz as an example), then there's over the top characters that just can be flat. These characters are just flat. Honestly, I blame the scripts.... You got all the ingredients, great cast, great premise and a great production budget. The writing is flat and slow. Don't feel any investment in the characters, except for Dad.... Expected more, hopefully they'll deliver.....

Had hoped it would be a modern take on Yes, but the God awful, annoying, overdone shaky (suppose to be reality/documentary style?) camera style was just too irritating. Took away from the performances, rather than enhancing them.....
