DuckTales (2017)
From A Younger Person
As someone who didn't watch the original series, this show makes me want to watch it. This is one of my favourite TV Shows ever, with characters that are so relatable, hilarious writing and some of the most gorgeous animation I've seen. Some episodes are a bit slow at times, but the great parts truly are great. Watch it. You won't regret it.
DuckTales: The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee! (2019)
My Favourite So Far...
I love this series, and more than that, I love Fenton. Mostly because I love Lin-Manuel Miranda, but because of how relatable Fenton is as a person. He speaks me to, and I love that the writer brought even more out of him in this episode, his anger and sadness and desire. It was so well done. More than that, his relationship with Gandra was cliche, but unpredictable as well. It was action-packed, funny and just well-written. DEFINITELY my favourite so far 😁
Green Book (2018)
Great Balance
A brilliantly written story, taking themes of racism, social class and so much more, and turning it on his head. Such a great design of polar opposite characters, who in turn, are both opposite and indicative of their stereotypes. A real sense of realisation, especially in the case of Viggo's character. Brilliant.
Stan & Ollie (2018)
Perfectly simple and light
It was brilliantly done. It was simple, not too heavy, but touched on a lot of important themes. Comedy aspects fit in perfectly, and there were easily some Oscar worthy performances by probably most of the cast. It was a fun, light-hearted way to show some of the difficulties of show business, and I loved it 😁
Zodiac (2007)
Slow-paced, but well done
This movie is VERY LONG, so be prepared! At some points in the middle, it's a bit slow-paced, but that mimicks what I would be like in reality. Jake does a splendid job, and you can feel the frustration with him. A really good ending too 😁
I Saw the Light (2015)
Such Potential
This movie had SO MUCH good in it. Acting; best I've ever seen. Costumes and set design; superb. Music; incredible. Even the writing of each individual scene was so filled with emotion. But it all went downhill because of one thing; a script that doesn't flow. So much happens, and most of the time, you can't keep up, because nothing is explained properly. Many a time, I was left wondering what the hell just happened. This could've been brilliant, and in a lot of ways it was, but it was ruined by something that could've been easily fixed. So sad.
