Wait, what?
15 November 2023
A story about a French teenager played by a 30 years old American woman of Italian and Arabic descent, her French uncle played by Hugh Laurie who is very British and can't hide his accent, and her French father played by American Mark Ruffalo with some sketchy accent which doesn't resemble anything. Couldn't they hire different, more plausible actors for their roles?

Other than that, it's a pretty boring love story made by Netflix. I don't know why people like it, with some even giving it 10 stars as if the show was on par with the likes of Shawshank Redemption or Band of Brothers. I'm not sold.

Hijack (2023)
Wtf?
19 August 2023
I initially gave the show 6 stars, but after watching the whole season I dropped it to 1. Why? Because it is the dumbest show I have seen since a long while. Apart from the dumb stuff other reviewers mentioned before me, the one thing that really made me cringe was the gun in the purse of one of the passengers. Wtf? How did that happen? The passenger went through security and what?

"-Ma'am, you have a gun in your purse.

-Indeed I do.

-What are you planning to do with it?

-Hijack a plane, duh.

-Alright then love, carry on"

Not to mention the other four weapons. It is just bad and lazy writing. I feel that I have lost some braincells watching it.

That '90s Show (2023– )
Umm...
21 January 2023
This show has it all. Diversity, 15 years old strong feminists, Winnie the Pooh, canned laughs, walking ad for plastic surgeries gone wrong, bad actors and all the other typical Netflix things. What it doesn't have is soul, jokes or anything 90' related. I watched 5 episodes and haven't laughed once, not even a giggle. I gave the show 2 stars; 1 for Red and Kitty and 1 for old characters cameos, everything else isn't worth a star.

The kids should all be replaced by real professionals or ditched all together. Bring the old crew back and make the show about them, their lives in the 90'. It would be far more interesting than this thing, whatever this is.

Wednesday (2022– )
Not what I expected.
23 November 2022
It's a teen mystery drama, that uses words like "mansplain", "gender neutral", "patriarchy", "female objectification" way too often to enjoy the story. What happened to Tim Burton, the man who brought us many masterpieces? Is it another proof that Netflix can ruin everything?

Also, apart from black hair, this new Wednesday has nothing to do with the old one, although Ortega plays well. I'm in the middle of episode 4 and I'm not sure if I want to continue watching. I don't think I'm the target audience, which is a shame because I enjoyed the old movies very much. I'm happy to see Christina Ricci, the original Wednesday.
