Reviews
Bug (2006)
Why did I believe the reviews!?
Well I'll start by telling you how I got the movie. I was at a redbox DVD stand and I was looking at the movies they had, when I saw Bug. It sounded pretty good, a depressed woman and a delusional war veteran suffer from a bug infestation. Well I begged my dad to get the movie so we could watch at home with the family. Anyway, we brought it home and started watching it, and that was the biggest mistake of all! The movie starts out in a dirty motel where Agnes (Ashley Judd) is living. It's not long before her friend or girlfriend (I couldn't tell) brings some guy over by the name of Peter Evans (Michael Shannon). It's not long before they start to fall in love during the events of Agnes's abusive husband. After having sexual intercourse he tries to walk out on her, saying that he doesn't want her to get hurt. He then tells her a deep secret. He is being watched by the government. (Who the hell wrote that gem) The movie is shot in an overly depressing environment and never gives you any closure. Bug is like one of those movies that take a long time before they start to get interesting, except it never does get good. It's like getting stuck in an endless cycle of shitty dialog and a forgettable story. So please, if you come across this movie and say, "Hey, this movie must be good, the people from the Exorcist made this" don't believe it.
