Solo
After one too many rejections, Mark, a 40 year-old frustrated writer decides to produce his own scripts. He enrolls in a film production class in a nearby community college. The group assignment for the day is to shoot a romantic scene. The student with the best scene will have his or her script produced by the class. Mark who has not connected with anyone in class tries to join a group, any group, but his eager classmates leave him behind. He walks around the campus searching for ideas when he sees a young woman sitting by herself. He asks her to be in the scene. She agrees tentatively and ends up leaving him when his back is turned. Next, he sees a young couple. He hides behind a tree and videotapes them while imitating their voices. His cell phone rings in the middle of it. The young man sees him, assaults him with a cafeteria tray, and chases after him. Mark escapes to the rooftop where he comes up with the idea of playing both the male and the female lead of the romantic scene. While working on his scene, Mark discovers Sonje, a 40 year-old typecast actress from the camera class, videotaping him from behind the very same tree. They team up and are no longer working solo.
