Calculatedly and cold, Artinelli seduces Berta-Marie and destroys "Boss'" happiness.

- Dick Turpin, an English highwayman who robs from the rich and gives to the poor, holds up the coach of Lord Churlton. Dick offers to assist her to avoid the unwanted marriage, and they travel to London together, with Alice disguised as a boy. Churlton pursues them, and, after several narrow escapes, Dick is captured by the royal guards and sentenced to be hanged. On the scaffold, Dick is told by his friend, Tom King, who has taken the hangman's place, that the crowd is sympathetic; and Dick makes his escape, riding his horse to York. Dick finds the house where Alice is being held prisoner, kills Churlton, and escapes to France with Alice, whom he marries. Dick gives up his profession and settles down to family life.

Now, in the early 20th Century, a tribe of Navajo live on a reservation overseen by an Indian-hating agent, Booker. He and his men steal the best Indian horses for their own profit. Nophaie, a tribal leader, complains to Booker's higher-ups, but he is unable to gain fair treatment from the whites. When World War I breaks out, an Army captain comes west in search of the horses that Booker was supposed to have bought from the Indians for a fair price. Marian Warner, the teacher at the Indian School, has befriended Nophaie, teaching him to read; she convinces him that the Great War is a fight for a more just world, and that, when that world comes, the Indian will be better treated. Nophaie not only brings horses for the Army, he and many other Indians enlist, and distinguish themselves in battle. But when they come back after the war is over, they find life for Indians even worse than when they left. Surely, they feel, it is time to fight back. But Nophaie is not so sure.
- Jewish Luck revolves around Menakhem Mendl (one of Sholem Aleichem's characters), a daydreaming entrepreneur who specializes in doomed strike-it-rich schemes. Despite Jewish oppression in Tsarist Russia, Mendl continues to pursue his dreams and his continued persistence transforms him from schlemiel to hero.
- Street people Armand and Marie are madly in love, and she persuades Armand and other gang members to rob the home of Pierre Marcel, a wealthy scientist. The police break up the robbery but Pierre hides Armand from them because he kept a gang member from stabbing him, but Armand is wounded in doing so. When Armand regains his health, Pierre takes him around town and introduces him to many women, and Armand has no objections. Marie - jealous of the women - swears revenge on Marcel. They meet and he falls in love with her, and they are married while Armand is away in London. On their wedding night, Marie tells Marcel she is an Apache and her revenge is complete, and she rushes into Armand's arms. But another Apache, in love with Marie, wounds her with a gun shot.
- During the war Owen Bradley, pleading that his leave had been canceled, fails to visit his home and sweetheart Toppie in England but spends his time with Madame Vervier, with whom he is infatuated. Owen is killed in action but in accordance with his promise, his brother Giles takes Madame Vervier's daughter to his mother in England, where she soon becomes a favorite and finally engaged to a viscount. In the meantime, Giles, who has always loved Toppie, tries in vain to win her and she finally enters a convent. To prevent her and aid Giles, Madame Vervier's daughter Alix tells Toppie the truth and Toppie denounces Madame Vervier as a bad woman. Giles has already learned that his brother was only one of many with whom Madame had affairs. This truth finally becomes known in England and the viscount breaks his engagement with Alix. When Toppie enters a convent, Giles realizes that he really loves Alix and returning to France finds Andre is attentive to her. Giles soon learns the truth that Alix has always loved him, so he takes her in his arms. - Moving Picture World.

- Schoolteacher Spiridon and his pretty wife Despine are taking a room in a small inn. Tariel Mklavadze, a local nobleman and debauchee falls for a beauty of Despine. He and his friends terrify young couple trying to get Despine.
- A ranch foreman, rebuffed by his boss' daughter, turns the ranch into a tourist mecca. The girl leaves the ranch, but eventually she returns with her new fiancé, who she says is a rich European, and they plan to get married at the ranch. Her engagement doesn't discourage the foreman, however, and finally her fiancé orders his servants to kidnap him and keep him under wraps until the wedding. The foreman finds out some damaging information about his love's "rich European" fiancée, and has to find a way to escape captivity and stop the wedding.
