I was 7 years old when I first seen him in "La Bamba" and I still remember hiding my face whenever he came on screen, so I wouldn't blush, but I couldn't help it. It was so funny, I thought he was the cutest guy ever and I guess he was 25 when he played Ritchie Valens. I hated the ending every time when he died in that plane crash. My mom would tell me it was based on a true story and I remember just crying about it even though I didn't understand what really happened and who the real Ritchie was at the time. Lou Diamond does look a little like him, but not as much as I thought he would.

I always liked him with his calming cool nature. He also keeps to himself and stays out of the spotlight, which I find enduring. I first seen him in the Bill and Ted films and than later in more action and romantic movies, like Speed, The Matrix, and The Lake House.
