Honestly I think that this film was terribly underrated and shouldn't just have made more money but surely got nominated for an award at one of the bigger ceremonies

Possibly even the academy award
I'm not suggesting here that in this film I thought Ryan Reynolds was better than Colin Firth, but he was without a doubt a lot better than James Franco in one of the most overrated films ever, but in the end he got nowhere near to any big awards

To be honest, I would go as far as saying it deserved the award, definitely better than Avatar or the Hurt Locker. And lets be honest, this was the best sci-fi film of 2009, a lot better than district 9
