Now I am not a Nolan fanatic but anybody who says he is "overrated" is either an idiot or just jealous.... but so far he deserves at least 5th... I took a while to think who would go 5th and I prefer Nolan rather than Coppola... Coppola has made some films that are not good. Christopher Nolan is genuine! Never a disappointment from his movies, The Prestige, Inception, Memento, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" Will be top notch and phenomenal. Legend.

I am very surprised as you are but this man truly deserves the best! at least in my chart, He is very well known for one of the highest grossing movies ever "Lord of the Rings." Originally the novel was made by J.R.R Tolkien but I never knew Peter Jackson could make it so amazing and perfect! Also known for King Kong, The Adventures of Tintin, District 9, and soon the upcoming "Hobbit."

He started off quite bad in Alien3 but he returned as a good director. Personally he isn't bad and does quite a great job at what he does, I respect him alot for his work, such as Fight Club, The Panic Room, Se7en, Social Network, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I am pretty sure without Fincher, Angelina would have never went with Brad Pitt. I am kidding but in all honesty, THIS GUY IS AWESOME.
