There is such a lovely freshness brought in to this version that it makes it so very lovely and enriching to watch. I find it so refreshing each time I watch it.
I did find the character of Eleanor Dashwood seeming almost weaker in this version for some reason, I enjoyed Emma Thompson's portrayal far greater in the earlier film version.
If this version had only had a longer ending! and Emma Thompsons' lines when Marianne confronts her about how long she knew about Edward and Lucy. BANG! It would have been practicaly perfect in every way. However all in all, I like this version more than the film version.
