The Matrix Syndrome
by brutuslevi | created - 24 Nov 2013 | updated - 05 Mar 2014 | PublicIn 1999, When Post modernism was still an innovative fashion and not a meaningless definition of nothing, The Matrix have shaken both the academies and the cinemas. "Jesus!" the crowd was yelling. "and what if we all live in an imagery of the truth?! and what if there ain't not truth at all?! and how the hell Neo suddenly comes back to life without any plot Justification?!
If we all live in a huge simulacra, I will be the happiest person in the world, because it means the matrix, which is probably the worst movie I have ever seen, does not exist outside of my consciousness.
However, Hollywood doesn't share my opinion. the spectacular economic success of 'The Matrix' (463,517,383 Dollar, which is more than Micronesia's GDP) convinced the studios that the "the world is a Computer software/Video game" motive is a best seller. How could it be? God only knows. Probably because that people like to think that they are representations. that makes them exempt of free will, morality, and consuming better movies that makes them actually think about their position as human beings.
