These movies have some of the scariest scenes and moments in the history of cinema. Unfortunately, a lot of horror movies (like Vacancy, The Echo, Signs, The Eye, The Boneyard, Mama, Sinister, Citadel, The Village, The Pact, among many others...) offer outcomes and endings that spoil the entire frightening experience. Remember to watch these in the dark and alone (the best experience for a horror movie is watching it with two friends maximum for not spoiling the experience).
Note: Movies where animals got hurt or killed for real (cannibal holocaust, the isle, man behind the sun,...) don't deserve any spot on any list...
Movies like Army of Darkness or Shawn of the Dead that don't have any kind of Scares or Tension are not on the list so don't bother bitching about it.
And sorry for the fans of the classics but I don't think Carrie or Christine are scary at all.

William Peter Blatty is as good as a director as he is a Writer. Sad he just directed two movies in his entire life. This one was a lot scarier than the first IMO. There are scene like the angel of death in the hospital or the old possessed lady that remain some of the scariest scenes I've ever watched.
