1. Star Trek (1966–1969)

TV-PG | 50 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

In the 23rd Century, Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise explore the galaxy and defend the United Federation of Planets.

Stars: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Nichelle Nichols

Votes: 92,871

The list isn't in a certain order but this IS my all time favorite show. Mr. Spock is my favorite character. If each crew from every Trek series had it out all together at once in a "Fight to the death" battle this crew would win.

2. Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1994)

TV-PG | 45 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

Set almost 100 years after Captain Kirk's 5-year mission, a new generation of Starfleet officers sets off in the U.S.S. Enterprise-D on its own mission to go where no one has gone before.

Stars: Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton

Votes: 135,912

When this first came out I scoffed at the idea "Yeah right, trying to recreate another 'Star Trek' cast and show?" That's like saying hey let's create another "Beatles". But the show and characters grew on me and I became addicted and immediately got excited AND hooked on every Star Trek series to follow.

3. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993–1999)

TV-PG | 45 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

In the vicinity of the liberated planet of Bajor, the Federation space station Deep Space Nine guards the opening of a stable wormhole to the far side of the galaxy.

Stars: Avery Brooks, Rene Auberjonois, Cirroc Lofton, Alexander Siddig

Votes: 70,750

This was my least favorite of the Star Trek Series. Probably because it was set on a Space Station and not on a ship that is constantly traveling the Galaxy finding new worlds and life forms. But I still watched all of it.

4. Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001)

TV-PG | 44 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

Pulled to the far side of the galaxy, where the Federation is seventy-five years away at maximum warp speed, a Starfleet ship must cooperate with Maquis rebels to find a way home.

Stars: Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Roxann Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill

Votes: 77,283

Deep Space 9 was still fairly new when all of a sudden ANOTHER Star Trek Series was premiering. I was excited. Two Trek shows to watch every week! Liked the idea of a female captain. The return of a Vulcan although Tuvok was no Spock! And the hollogram doctor.

5. Quantum Leap (1989–1993)

TV-PG | 60 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

During an experiment into time travel, a scientist finds himself trapped in the past, "leaping" into the lives of different people, sorting out their problems and changing history in hopes of getting back to his own life in the present.

Stars: Scott Bakula, Dean Stockwell, Deborah Pratt, Dennis Wolfberg

Votes: 36,457

My second all-time favorite show. I couldn't wait to see who Dr. Sam Beckett was going to end up falling into next. The episodes when he went "home" , played a woman, or played some important historical figure like the Episode about JFK were some of my favorites.

6. Six Feet Under (2001–2005)

TV-MA | 60 min | Comedy, Drama

A chronicle of the lives of a dysfunctional family who run an independent funeral home in Los Angeles.

Stars: Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Lauren Ambrose

Votes: 149,332

Great acting. Great story. Each character had their own stories within the story.

7. Oz (1997–2003)

TV-MA | 55 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

A series chronicling the daily activities of an unusual prison facility and its criminal inhabitants.

Stars: Ernie Hudson, J.K. Simmons, Lee Tergesen, Dean Winters

Votes: 106,631

Like it's HBO sibling 6 Ft Under so many interesting characters and stories never was a dull moment in any episodes. Couldn't wait for the next episode to get here each week.

8. Dexter (2006–2013)

TV-MA | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

He's smart. He's lovable. He's Dexter Morgan, America's favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and nights committing them.

Stars: Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar

Votes: 765,441

Loved Michael C. Hall in 6 ft under and he was just as good in Dexter. We need more "Dexter"s in the world to take care of what the Justice system let's get away... Jennifer Carpenter was just as awesome as his sister Deb.

9. 24 (2001–2010)

TV-14 | 44 min | Action, Crime, Drama

Counter Terrorism Agent Jack Bauer races against the clock to subvert terrorist plots and save his nation from ultimate disaster.

Stars: Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carlos Bernard, Dennis Haysbert

Votes: 196,982

My All-Time favorite non Sci-Fi show. The genius original format where each episode was actually in real time 60 mins was 60 mins was brilliant. Every episode ended with me saying OMG whats next?? I wanna know now!! Luckily I didn't start watching it for a few yrs so I didn't have to wait long to see the next episodes for awhile. Just popped in the next DVD lol.

10. Prison Break (2005–2017)

TV-14 | 44 min | Action, Crime, Drama

Votes: 579,100

Michael Scofield is determined to get his wrongfully accused brother out of prison by getting put in himself but gets more than he bargained for when other clever bad guys say take me too or else... Loved it.

Stars: Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Jasika Nicole

Votes: 257,418

Hated to see it end. I didn't watch the series finale for over a year just to make it last as long as possible lol.

12. House M.D. (2004–2012)

TV-14 | 45 min | Drama, Mystery

Using a crack team of doctors and his wits, an antisocial maverick doctor specializing in diagnostic medicine does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way.

Stars: Hugh Laurie, Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, Jesse Spencer

Votes: 513,024

Loved the sarcastic humor of Dr. House.

13. The Walking Dead (2010–2022)

Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.

Stars: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan

Votes: 1,081,373

Didn't think it was gonna become a hit when I 1st watched it. Thinking about watching a bunch of dull flesh eating zombies sleep walking around for 60 minutes every week and getting shot or stabbed over and over sounded pretty boring. But it's turned into a great show.

14. Breaking Bad (2008–2013)

TV-MA | 45 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

A chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with a former student in order to secure his family's future.

Stars: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt

Votes: 2,134,728

If this series didn't end so quickly it would have challenged for my all-time favorite show. It was so awesome but only getting to watch 12 or so episodes for an entire year and then only lasting 5 seasons it was just way too short. The evolution of Walter White from nerdy chemistry teacher/ car wash employee to genius master mind back stabbing criminal was amazing.

15. Damages (2007–2012)

TV-MA | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

A law school graduate becomes the protégée of a successful high-stakes litigator.

Stars: Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Tate Donovan, Zachary Booth

Votes: 31,593

Glenn Close and Rose Byrne were great. The constant battle between Patty Hewes and Ellen Parsons. Friends? Foes? You could never tell. Who's on who's side. Also could have lasted alot longer but not enough people watched it and it almost got canceled before Directv took it over and saved it for at leasat a couple more seasons.

16. The Sopranos (1999–2007)

Like Breaking Bad watching Vic Mackey & co. go from clean to dirty cop and the consequences to follow because of it was great.

Votes: 118,618

Walton Goggnis (Shane in The Shield) is just as good as Bo Crowder in Justified.

19. Nurse Jackie (2009–2015)

TV-MA | 27 min | Comedy, Drama

A drug-addicted nurse struggles to find a balance between the demands of her frenetic job at a New York City hospital and an array of personal dramas.

Edie Falco is amazing. Loved her in Oz and The Sopranos and is as great as Jackie Peyton.

20. Southland (2009–2013)

TV-MA | 42 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

The lives of Police Officers working for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Stars: Michael Cudlitz, Shawn Hatosy, Regina King, Ben McKenzie

Votes: 29,103

This show debuted on NBC but they chose to cancel it. Luckily for us viewers TNT took it over and kept it going. One of the best "Cop Shows" ever.

21. The Killing (2011–2014)

So many twists and turns. He did it! No she did it! He's the good guy! No he's the bad guy! Never knew what was gonna happen next!

Another "so many characters, so many stories" show. Carrie Matheson, Nicholas Brody, Dana Brody. Claire Danes is great.

Stars: Jim Caviezel, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Chapman, Michael Emerson

Votes: 188,922

Nice Story of vigilante super hero wanna-bes Harold Finch and John Reese. Liked it better when detectives Carter & Fusco didn't know who they were.

24. Shameless (2011–2021)

TV-MA | 60 min | Comedy, Drama

A scrappy, feisty, fiercely loyal Chicago family makes no apologies.

Stars: Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, Ethan Cutkosky, Jeremy Allen White

Votes: 285,067

A friend of mine said they didn't like this show cuz the whole family was so disgusting doing gross and bad things, lol. But that's what makes it so good the actors are so good you really think they ARE those scum bag people lol.

25. House of Lies (2012–2016)

TV-MA | 28 min | Comedy, Drama

Charming, fast-talking Marty Kaan and his crack team of management consultants use every dirty trick in the book to woo powerful CEOs and close huge deals in this scathing, irreverent satire of corporate America today.

Votes: 26,380

A boy genius and his comrades travel to different parallel universes, trying to find their way back home.

Stars: Jerry O'Connell, Sabrina Lloyd, John Rhys-Davies, Cleavant Derricks

Votes: 20,390

My love for Quantum Leap led me to this show. Liked it a lot better with original cast including The Professor and Wade. Didn't care for Maggie and the other character who I can't even remember the name of.

27. Star Trek: Enterprise (2001–2005)

Votes: 59,075

This show wasn't available on any of my local channels at the time it debuted and by the time it was avaliable I was so far behind and nothing like Netflix existed yet so couldn't go back and watch from beginning and get caught up so I still have not seen 1 episode of this series yet but I plan to and it's a Star Trek Series so I know I will like it. I like Scott Bakula as well from his Quantum Leap days.
