Erika Alexander as Maxine Shaw was fabulous. For the first time I saw how dark women on television can be sexy and attractive. She is also a great character for females everywhere, just being herself and not giving a *beep*!

Charnele Brown as Kim Reese was fire. I watched 'A Different World' in my teens and was surprised by the character of Kim. She was confident, smart, a great friend, and kind; which is something we should see more of on television.

This series as a whole was AMAZING! I used to watch it all the time when I was younger. Toni Childs (Jill Marie Jones) was an attractive, funny dark-skinned woman who could get any man she wanted.

Florence is the Matriarch in this show.She is shown as being a loving wife and mother, this chocolate queen was shown as beautiful in her own right. I loved watching Good Times the family dynamics was everything!
