Votes: 166,817

The directors touch is very smooth in this series. From the very first episode, you see the finale, and the beginning. As the episodes go by, the story goes from the end to the beginning and from the beginning to the end, in otherwords both forwards and backwards. The mid season finale left me full of questions because the middle parts are still expected. I fear to describe for spoilers. Just watch...

Stars: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan

Votes: 1,083,247

The series deals a zombie apocalypse. The difference with any movie of that kind is that it has so much more time, so the characters evolve as they should be, the conflicts are getting more ground (we can always see more zombies in the next episode, which always happen, I never thought "where are the zombies"). A man wakes up in an abandoned hospital from his coma and soon realises that everything is gone.....

Votes: 2,287,365

A series of books becomes a series of a tv show. The originality of this show is that it doesn't drive you to pick sides. You can be with whoever you want, because the story is not about good and bad, it is about who will become the ultimate king, in a land that has everything: Dragons, zombies, Wildlings, Giants, Barbarians and about ten pretenders of the throne.

The contrast of the main character from episode to episode is outstanding. The plot is very good and stereotype free, and it is a punch in the gut for the unfairness and also the blind spots of capitalism. Votes: 200,829

This series has a very good balance between scenes full of tension and comedy. The concept is almost common with every CSI series that we all know and love. The main character is a man with extraordinary observation skills. That evolves him from a circus artist to a CSI Bureau assistant in California, in order to catch a serial killer.

Stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Una Stubbs, Rupert Graves

Votes: 999,917

A true masterpiece. With three episodes in every two years and such cast, there is no wonder why. If you liked the movies of Sherlock Holmes starring R.D. Junior, just consider that tis series made me think them as crap after watching the series. Our well known Sherlock Holmes is no longer a fiction of the past. He is transfered in todays' London, and still makes us wondering if he came from the future....

Votes: 279,824

If you get tired of more than one or two twist in something you are watching, this definitely is NOT the proper series for you. In every episode new data are revealed and the feelings, the concept adn the characters are changing. Votes: 361,100

This series is pure cold war/spy stuff. Strong acting and ethic conflicts are almost half the playtime, which gives tension as a result, and the viewer gets nailed on his seat asking for more. A military team discover a taliban hideout and sets free of a prisoner that happens to be a MIA US maurine. A CIA agend is suspecting him for changing sides, and the story begins.....

Stars: Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Isaiah Washington

Votes: 276,510

I think it is one of the greatest sci fi scenarios, even though it appears to have some minor gaps in the story. But hey, it's just played two seasons, so i believe it's going to come up with this, and in the contrary, we get to watch very intense scenes, filled with agony and conflict. Generally a very good work.

32. The Office (2005–2013)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

A mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium.

Stars: Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson

Votes: 713,063

This is not what you have been used to. It is not the "American " type of comedy that will have a medium-to-good line or dialogue every two minutes. Every episode builds up with a main story while continuing the series plot, and has from one to three picks. This means that in every episode offers you the time to "digest" the funny moments before jump into another. In addition with the unreal characters that add to the show, it offers you Steve Carell at his best, while having an amount of great actors in the cast. Certainly worth not only watching, but be a fan as well.

33. Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019)

TV-MA | 59 min | Comedy, Crime, Drama

Convicted of a decade-old crime of transporting drug money, ordinarily law-abiding Piper Chapman is sentenced to 18 months behind bars and quickly discovers the realities of life-changing prison time.

Stars: Taylor Schilling, Danielle Brooks, Taryn Manning, Emma Myles

Votes: 320,349

This is not an outrageious comedy. This is not the dramatic/tragic story of a young woman that goes to prison either. This series has discovered the very thin line between the two. It gives you a very good idea of a woman prison, with the "ugly" moments a prison most certainly has, but also the female logic and prespective in everything. The result is an amount of mixed feelings, mostly sympathy and laughter, while managing not to give allow to the criminal past of the prisoners. Noone is innocent, regardless of whoever is sorry for their past. If you decide to watch it, it can make you devoted and not a simple viewer.

34. Spartacus (2010–2013)

Stars: Andy Whitfield, Lucy Lawless, Manu Bennett, Daniel Feuerriegel

Votes: 257,201

The series follows Spartacus, the Thrace king which got enslaved by the Romans. The riot of the gladiator slaves who made Rome tremble. A very good work that couldn't go wrong even after the unfortunate sudden death of the leading actor and recasting the role of Spartacus. If you start watching, just know that every season has a different name: 1st season: Blood and sand 2nd season: Gods of the arena 3rd season: Vengeance 4th season: War of the damned

The concpt is, well, About Lucifer... But not the one you knew from the church. He is not that bad of a guy, just a little playful. Maybe a little more playful for paradise, so his punishment was to be Hell administrator. But he doesn't like it there, so he just flees, and comes to earth...

This is NOT the Walking Dead!!! Some how yet it manages to stand tall next to it. The performances adding to the script to give a cult aesthetic that is giving us action scenes with humor is balancing very well the budget of TWD. It's worth a try...

Votes: 58,149

Everyone is entitled to ONE college movie or series. I love two: The Community, and the Blue Mountain State. This series had the ability to hold you awake at night, only watching "the next Episode".

44. Daredevil (2015–2018)

A blind lawyer by day, vigilante by night. Matt Murdock fights the crime of New York as Daredevil.

Stars: Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson

Votes: 475,099

There are too many series based on comics nowadays. Personally I have wathced many but this one very quickly became my personal favourite not only from the graphic novel generated ones, but one of my generally favourite. With scenes of raw violence and realistic fighting scenes despite the unrealistic concept, plus a very different angle of justice is giving a very beautiful and agonizing outcome. As for the concept itself: "Justice is not blind, for I am her eyes". There is really not much else to tell you, except to watch and enjoy...

45. The Brink (2015)

TV-MA | 30 min | Comedy

Top U.S. government and military scramble to prevent World War 3 from happening amidst the chaos of a geopolitical crisis.

Stars: Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Pablo Schreiber, Aasif Mandvi

Votes: 14,747

This is a very strong comedy with some very huuuge names starring in it. It also incliudes very heavy satire about the USA foreign policy so far, stigmatising all the decitions that lead to acts of war. For anyone that has watched "Dr Strangelove" starring Peter Sellers, you can understand what happens if WWIII is at the gates and humanity's fate is in the hands of Jack Black, Tim Robins and their gang... The problem is, we wanted so much more than only one season of ten episodes.....

46. Dark Matter (2015–2017)

Stars: Melissa O'Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr., Jodelle Ferland

Votes: 45,039

It might sound strange, but given the character of the series, it makes sense that the most interresting character that evolves greatly in each episode is the Android! That doesn't mean that the other characters don't, or that the concept is't subversive. Five people wake up in a spaceship, all having amnesia, and try to find out who they are. When they decide they dind't like the who they were before, they all decide to form a new personality...

Well, I would never consider that a musical could be so hillarious. The great knight Gallavant pursues the evil king Richard that kidnapped his beloved to marry by force. The plot twist: he manages to get to her, only to get ditched!!! Well, life 's a bitch...

48. Stranger Things (2016–2025)

When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl.

Stars: Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour

Votes: 1,338,230

This is a sci-fi thriller, dark and mysterious enough to keep wanting more. If you haven't watch it since day one, like me, don't be surprised if you end up watching the first season in a single day. If you get past some dialogue glitches that slip in some of the episodes, you can dive deep in the beautifully given company of the starring kids, and the extraordinary preformance of Winona Ryder and the very good framing of the support characters. A kid mysteriously dissapears when another one with special powers appears...

The night manager of a Cairo hotel is recruited to infiltrate an arms dealer's inner circle.

Stars: Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Elizabeth Debicki, Olivia Colman

Votes: 103,302

In this one, I saw a MAGNIFICENT duet of Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Lorie, and just keep in mind that it was not like Loki and dr House. Both have proven extraordinary actors in here (not that they needed to prove themselves). The story was likewise great, and, dare I say, not far from reality. An arms dealer with connections in every government and secret agencies gets exposed from and delt with a former soldier that works the night shift as a manager in a hotel in Kairo, through a very dangerous and long operation that comes in contrary with all the dirt that follows the money

A multilevel story located in a small town of Texas. The main storyline revolves around the leader of an outlaw gang and the hunt he throws of a former member of the gang. The secondary stories are mixed about the other participants of the series along with backstories. All this is given very well-balanced given the fact that it is a 7 episode mini series. You end up caring for every character that appears in there and this is the series success, along with a nice story and directing.

Aka The chronickle of the most brilliant bank robbery. The story reminds me a lot of "Ocean's 11", but it's way better. The story revolves around the plan of a robbery, that takes place in the central bank of Spain. It is seemingly a booletproof plan, except little things that start to tear it apart little by little. There is enough air time to develop the characters on each side, both the robbers and the police. Also, the acting is very good, the plot is very good, there are very small plot holes that happen in every series, generally one of the best you will ever see.

Very strong scenario case, great performances, and huge ethical dilemmas in this animated series. Bojack is a former superstar of the tv and in his attempts to remain on topic he pushes away his friends, making serious mistakes and finally abandoning hisself on the way. Is there no return from this? Can anyone rebound from this alienation, or is something like this futile? Can the damage done be undone or the guilt is unavoidable? 58. Sex Education (2019–2023)

Stars: Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey

Votes: 351,860

Putting aside the exaggerations of teenagers self awareness of their sexuality, this series is an LGBTQ celebration and sexual awaking. The fact that this is about teenagers is also the cause of very funny situations. The humor is subtle and very clever, and the romance is what it is supposed to be: awkward, strangeand often unappealing, very far away from the american cinematografy and its idea of it. Otis is the son of a sex therapist, and by overhearing his mothers conferences with her clients, he assumes that he is ready to give sexual advice to his co-students, with tragic and/or funny results.

In this series I remembered another one a lot. One of my very favourites, "The Office". Quite similar aesthetics, work place environment, awkward love stories, humor etc. In a small town, an employee of the parks and recreation department takes his job very seriously, due to her ambitions of getting to the top. And this job is the means to do it....
