The Boys Season Four: Billy Butcher Gets The Band Back Together In Bloody Beautiful Official Trailer
Last night during their Ccxp presentation, Prime Video launched the first official trailer for The Boys season four and it's every bit as batshit crazy as we've come to expect from Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his gang of lovable misfits.
Picking up a short while after the events of season three, which aired in 2022, the trailer quickly reacquaints us to the world of The Boys, with Billy doing his best to make amends with his former team. With the squad not exactly keen on bringing him back into the fold, he seemingly reveals his terminal diagnosis and then it seems like it'll be all hands on deck as our favorite band of heroes team up to take down Homelander (Antony Starr) once and for all.
In addition to Urban and Starr, the returning main cast includes Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone,...

When Amazon’s “The Boys” debuts its fourth season next month, things are shaping up to be crazier than the time they blew up a whale and that other time they blew up a giant penis, as it seems Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) are ready to burn their whole lives down — and take everyone else with them.
In “The Boys” Season 4 trailer, Butcher reveals to Hughie (Jack Quaid), Starlight (Erin Moriarty) and the rest of the Boys that time is running out for him, and with the few numbered days he and his weakened heart have left, he’s looking to unleash a deadly virus on the supe community. To get the job done, Butcher has teamed up with new character, played by “Supernatural” alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who seems to want supes wiped out entirely as soon as possible to save humanity.

Prime Video’s first teaser trailer for The Boys season four shows a world on the verge of war. “All democracies fail because people are f****** stupid,” says a voice-over, adding, “But if you crush the masses, who builds your monuments?”
The solution is to allow people to tear the world apart themselves, and then the supes can swoop in and save it.
The trailer teases some wild action scenes (as expected from this twisted series) and ends with the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character.
Season four, premiering in 2024, stars Antony Starr as Homelander, Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, and Jack Quaid as Hughie. Erin Moriarty is Starlight, Chace Crawford is The Deep, Jessie T. Usher is A-Train, Laz Alonso is Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capon is Frenchie, and Karen Fukuhara plays Kimiko. With season four on the way and college-set spinoff “Gen V” recently wrapped, the ultra-violent world of “The Boys“ is about to become even bigger yet. Deadline reports today that new spinoff series “The Boys: Mexico” is in the works.
The latest offshoot will hail from Blue Beetle scribe Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, with Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal set to executive produce.
No plot details have been announced as of yet, and Luna and Bernal are considering appearing in “The Boys: Mexico” in smaller roles. In other words, don’t expect them to star in the series. What is confirmed is that “The Boys: Mexico” will film in Mexico.
Considering the cameos and tie-ins to “The Boys” featured in offshoot “Gen V,” it feels safe to assume that “The Boys: Mexico” will also feature references and characters to its parent series.

Thankfully, Prime Video has confirmed the next chapter will be streaming in 2024.
To celebrate the news, Amazon unveiled two teaser photos for The Boys Season 4, featuring Billy Butcher, portrayed by Karl Urban, and Homelander, portrayed by Antony Starr.
Both actors recently appeared at the end of Gen V Season 1, setting up the storyline for the original series in the franchise's fourth season.
But a lot can change between seasons, as evidenced by the end of The Boys Season 3 and the end of Gen V Season 1 Episode 8.

Chace Crawford's The Deep has quietly turned into the Mvp of "The Boys": a character who you love to hate, who is just the right amount of pitiful that makes you want to watch more of him, but not pitiful enough that you feel bad when things don't go his way. This is mostly due to Crawford's portrayal of the character, who -- unlike Homelander or the other villains of the show -- is terrifying because of how ordinary he is. The Deep is just some loser with a position of power, and that makes him scary, especially when involved in less fantastical, more relatable storylines.
Still, The Deep has also been involved in some of the funniest storylines in the show, like his accidental killing of every single sea creature he comes across, even ones he is weirdly sexually involved with, and also that time he got involved with a cult.

Happy early Halloween! The R-rated misadventures of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his ragtag group up meta-human hunters are coming home to crash on your couch this October. The explosive third season of "The Boys" has set a home media release, with plans to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD on October 24. Continuing their ongoing battle with Homelander -- the leader of The Seven -- and the evil corporate minions of Vought International, the third season of "The Boys" hit the ground running. The series went to new heights in season 3 with some of the most shocking episodes ever shown on television. Who can forget the "Herogasm" episode? I certainly can't.
The third season of "The Boys" may be its best yet, largely due to the incredible chemistry of the entire cast, as evidenced by a peek at the behind-the-scenes gag reel (watch below) that will also be featured on the new physical release.

“The Boys” is beefing up its squad with the addition of cast members Rosemarie DeWitt, Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight in Season 4. The Prime Video superhero spoof series will also see the return of Simon Pegg, who portrayed Hughie’s father in earlier seasons and who will be joined by DeWitt, taking on the role of the Jack Quaid character’s mom.
No character details were revealed for Benedict and Knight. Previously announced additions to the upcoming fourth season are Susan Heyward (playing “Sister Sage”), Valorie Curry (portraying “Firecracker”) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as recurring guest star. Cameron Crovetti, who plays Homelander’s easily influenced son, has also been upped to series regular.

Rosemarie DeWitt (The Staircase), Rob Benedict (Supernatural), and Elliot Knight (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II) have joined the Season 4 cast of Amazon’s The Boys. DeWitt will play Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) mom opposite returning series star Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) who plays Hughie’s dad.

Amazon has released the first photos of new supes Sister Sage, played by Susan Heyward, and Firecracker, portrayed by Valorie Curry, in the upcoming fourth season of The Boys.
Details on their characters are being kept under wraps, but we can now see images of both in their costumes by supersuit designer Laura Jean Shannon. See the full-size images below.
Showrunner Eric Kripke tweeted in August when the castings were announced. “These new Supes are some of the best & craziest ever written for #TheBoys. You are going to love them. And by love, I mean be absolutely horrified & a tiny bit nauseous. Welcome To The Family You Guys.”

Vought International has two new hires to boast about: Supes Firecracker and Sister Sage made their epic debut Monday in two first-look photos from “The Boys” Season 4 revealed by Amazon’s Prime Video.
In the photos, which you can view at the bottom of this post, you’ll see Susan Heyward suit up as Sister Sage and Valorie Curry rocking her Firecracker costume.
Both of the supersuits were designed by Laura Jean Shannon, “The Boys” costume designer who styled Jensen Ackles’ fan-favorite Soldier Boy look for Season 3.
Fans will want to pick the details of these costumes apart as much as possible, because Amazon says that everything else about the Firecracker and Sister Sage characters “will be kept under wraps until the season airs.” While we don’t know when that will be just yet, we do know “The Boys” Season 4 is currently in production in Toronto — so stay tuned.

Oi! Did you hear that the fourth season of "The Boys" is officially in production? If not, then congratulations; everyone's favorite anti-superhero television show will be back for a new season, and it could come sooner than you think. With production on both the main series and its college-based spinoff, "Gen V," underway, "Boys" showrunner Eric Kripke revealed the title for the fourth season premiere in a Twitter post.
Simply captioned "Day One," the tweet revealed that the premiere is being handled by two mainstays of the series; it was written by season 3 writer and producer David Reed, while also being directed by "The Only Man in the Sky" helmer Phil Sgriccia. However, what many fans might find intriguing is the season 4 premiere's title, "Department of Dirty Tricks." If you think you've heard that name before, it's probably because you know a thing or two about government conspiracies. That title...

Jody Mills’ family of Wayward Sisters is growing.
The potential Supernatural spinoff has added Kathryn Newton (as Claire Novak), Katherine Ramdeen (Alex Jones) and Briana Buckmaster (Sheriff Donna Hanscum) to its cast. If you have also been traveling on “The Road So Far,” then you’d know Supernatural has introduced no shortage of memorable recurring characters over the course of its already aired twelve seasons. That said, you’d think one or two of them would be ripe for a spinoff, but, originally, The CW intended on going in a different direction.
Perhaps you’ll be able to recall the “Bloodlines” episode from season 9, which, if you were unaware, was the network’s first attempt at a backdoor pilot. By that, we mean characters and concepts were introduced in the flagship series, with the intention of paying them off in the planned spinoff.
As it turned out, the experiment didn’t go over well with fans as it was more similar in tone to The Vampire Diaries instead of the series it was meant to complement. Not only that, but it violated rules already established by the longstanding mythology (example: a shapeshifter being able to change in the blink of an eye, something only the Alpha would’ve been able to do). So, thankfully, those plans were scrapped, but the network remained keen on the idea of a Supernatural spinoff if someone were to ever get the formula right.
With that, we’re pleased to say the second attempt at doing so sounds much more organic, with Wayward Sisters set to feature Jody Mills (played by Kim Rhodes) as the lead, who’s undoubtedly one of the more popular guest characters Supernatural has yet produced. And, just as was the case with “Bloodlines,” this’ll get its own backdoor pilot to be aired in the upcoming thirteenth season.
Here’s what’s known about the plot, according to Deadline:
[Wayward Sisters] tells the story of Sheriff Jody Mills (Rhodes) and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, the women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting force. Unlike the original series, which centers on a biological brothers, Wayward Sisters is about a sisterhood of girls in a foster family. The spinoff hails from a quartet of Supernatural writers-producers, showrunners Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer as well as Phil Sgriccia, Robert Berens.
After reading that, it’s hard not to argue with the assumptions that Claire Novak, Alex Jones and possibly even Donna Hanscum will also factor heavily into the Supernatural offshoot. Either way, be sure to stay tuned, as we’ll no doubt have more to report on this front over the course of the next year.

The CW is taking another stab at a Supernatural spinoff, this one built around Kim Rhodes’ Sheriff Jody Mills.
According to Deadline, which first broke the news, the premise for the potential offshoot — tentatively titled Wayward Sisters — will be introduced in a Season 13 episode of Supernatural. Here’s the conceit: Sheriff Mills (played by Rhodes) and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy, will team up as a supreme monster-fighting force.

The CW’s “Supernatural” has always had a little “Scooby Doo” DNA in it, and now here’s more proof: The show is planning an animated crossover with the crime-fighting pooch and his pals next season.

With Lucifer out of the cage and doing some vessel hopping, things have certainly gotten interesting this season on Supernatural. And after having one last hurrah in the body of rock star Vince Vincente this past week in “Rock Never Dies,” it seems he will truly go onward and upward in the midseason finale, “Lotus.”
Following the premiere, we suspected that Lucifer would engage in a power struggle for control of Hell with Crowley, but now we know that he has no plan, which may make him even more dangerous. In fact, he really only intends on smashing “as many of daddy’s toys” as possible.

This review is based on the first episode.
I’m not sure that many of us who have been faithfully watching Supernatural since the pilot aired way back in 2005 thought it would make it to twelve seasons. It takes strong ratings, a great cast and crew, cult followers, and maybe even a little luck to make it this far. Those factors have not only allowed this series to endure, but to thrive.
Although Supernatural will forever remain a horror show at its core, an important quality that it’s never lost is that it’s the story of two brothers – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester – who will literally move Heaven and Earth for one another. Furthermore, the basics are still prevalent: “Saving people, hunting things, the family business” – and it feels more like the family business than it has in years.
This is no doubt due to the freshly resurrected Mary Winchester,...

It’s probably safe to say that the final handful of episodes of this past season of Supernatural left fans reeling and discussing what’s to come as they suffer through the summer hiatus. In many ways Season 11 felt like a spiritual sequel to Season 5, largely due to the return of characters such as Chuck/God and Lucifer. And for those wanting to revisit the season, on September 6 you can relive all 23 episodes on either Blu-Ray or DVD.
Below you will find the full press release featuring a detailed synopsis as well as a full rundown of featurettes and episodes to be included. Longtime collectors should be happy to see yet another gag reel incorporated. Whether or not Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles do “Blue Steel” remains to be seen.

Although last night’s episode of Supernatural could have easily functioned as a season finale, I am rather pleased that we have one more hour of reality shattering awesomeness before the summer hiatus. If next week’s episode, appropriately titled “Alpha and Omega,” can somehow top last night’s team-up that included God, Lucifer, Crowley, Rowena, as well as angels and demons, then I think we may be in for the biggest swan song since, well, “Swan Song.”
Something I’ve learned over the course of watching this show for the past eleven years is that the best laid plans don’t often come to fruition, especially this late in the season. Sure, last night’s group effort went belly up and God/Chuck is nearly dead, but I suspect that Sam and Dean will succeed in taking down Amara – only, there will be a catch.

Although Supernatural is still going strong and has been renewed for a twelfth season, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating what the eventual series finale will entail. In fact, the folks at Entertainment Weekly asked stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles about that very subject in a recent interview.
At first, Ackles thinks of how his younger self may have responded:
“If you’d asked me season 1, I would’ve thought that it would’ve been the apocalypse. But then again, you can’t end the TV show with the worst thing happening. As we’ve evolved, I think that there’s different roads that the show could certainly go down that would be interesting. I think we’ve taken some really good turns.”
As fans of the show remember, the apocalypse was successfully averted in Season Five’s finale, “Swan Song,” which was kind of series creator Eric Kripke’s planned ending.

Thanks to The CW network, we have our first look at next week’s brand new episode of Supernatural, which is titled “Love Hurts.” The series has put its own bloody spin on Valentine’s Day in the past, as the horror genre is no stranger to doing, so it should be interesting to see what they bring to the table this time around.
From the footage given, we can see that Sam and Dean Winchester are investigating a case in which people have had their hearts ripped out, causing them to first suspect werewolves. As it turns out, next week’s brand of terror is actually a product of an ancient curse that marks people for death once they have been kissed. That sounds like the worst possible case of cooties to me!
